The reason is that this isn't a feature built into RPG Maker VX Ace, and to my knowledge no script exists to add it as a feature.

Hi, I just beat SLARPG (I did intentionally save the finale for Valentine's Day lol) and I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed it! The dynamic between the main four was super charming, I especially liked Jodie and the way she was sort of the stable emotional core of the team. The writing was great, it struck a nice balance of lighthearted and heartfelt and the emotional moments felt earned. I'm so happy this game exists <3

As promised, here's the full collection of every character portrait in SLARPG in their full resolutions. (Spoilers within! Literally every character in the game is here, including spoiler characters and something from the game's climax.)

These vary in size because the resolutions I drew them at varied, with ones I drew earlier in development usually being smaller. Some of them, particularly ones for more minor NPCs, are kinda messy because I drew them fast and they were only meant to be seen in-game at a scale of less than 100px. And expression variants are missing here because I actually drew most of those directly onto the low res in-game portraits to save time and to maintain scaling consistency. On the other hand, several characters (mainly the party members) do have some alternate outfit portraits, because I drew those at full size.

Enjoy! I thought about posting this as a Patreon thing, but I figure it's better to have them out in the wild for reference and for the wiki to use and whatnot.

I don't believe I put an explanation for this in the game, but canonically it ran out of juice after Melody cast that really big weather changing spell at the comic's climax.

I can't blame people for thinking this given, well, y'know. But this is honestly just a coincidence, like Claire's outfit looking like the trans pride flag or Javis's poncho looking like the pan pride flag. I like bright, saturated color schemes with multiple hues, and a lot of the good complementary, triadic, and analogous color schemes happen to match a pride flag. Just a happy accident.
