For 100% clarity I'd like to report that we DID get the problem with the insurance rectified. No extra money has to be paid, but my family is still out quite a bit on top of my schooling (which is providing my insurance rn). Commissions are definitely still open but it's no longer the emergency it could have been!

Yes, it can be REALLY tough with the system they're using. I had to apply twice, which is apparently pretty rare (most people have to apply 3 or more times).
