Dying.ย Eddie is familiar with the ordinance.ย Tooย familiar, one might say. He died in the scorching desert. He died under the cold stone-like ground, who knows how many feet under. He died in broad daylight on the melting asphalt. He's dying on the freezing table under the sharpest knife. He doesn't know how many deaths he has left. This seems like the last one. It's also the cruelest one. What a cruel way to die not in the loved oneโ€™s arms,ย afterย the loved oneโ€™s arms,ย afterย only realizing they are theย loved oneโ€™s. It wasnโ€™t supposed to be like that. Eddie wasnโ€™t supposed to wake up paralyzed. He also wasnโ€™t supposed to wake up with his chest wide open. The scalpel keeps going downwards.

or Eddieย wasย getting used to dying,ย isย getting to be held in his best friend's arms andย willย get to know what being crucified feels like.

Buck sneezes. The entire team is huddled around Bobby on the grounds of the University of Southern California, trying to hear his incident rundown over firehoses, sirens, and cries for helpโ€” and Buck sneezes. "Bless you," Athena replies. "Two more and you're cut off," Chimney quips. "Sorry, guys," Buck croaks, wiping his hoodied forearm against his nose. "Cap?" Bobby shoots Buck a slightly concerned Dad Glare, but continues on anyway. Buck shouldn't be here, necessarily. He knows this. He's been sick with a stupid cold for two days. No amount of socks and hoodies seem to help, but that doesn't stop him from trying. Chills, aches, and mucus coming out his nose and down his throat, making talking just slightly to the left of miserable. But when a biohazard incident put his friends, his family, in danger? Of course he's here. There's nowhere else he'd rather be. Bobby is speaking to his on-duty firefighters as Buck leans over to Athena. "You're working on crowd control, yeah?" Athena flicks her eyes to him. "Yeah, you want to give me a hand?" Buck sniffles. "I bet I could help out. Big, tall, slightly contagious, people would back away from me real fast." Athena chuckles. "You give me your cold and you're gonna have to back away from me real fast." She pats him softly on the shoulder, rubbing her hand across his back in a comforting gesture. "Any questions?" Bobby turns to his crew, looking each of them in the eye, getting confirmation. Buck loves that about Bobby. Checking in, checking up, always.

imo sharing your art for free online for strangers to see it requires a lot of courage. A lot of mental strength. Im being serious rn i think if youve ever shared anything online and even if its not popular even if only a few people have seen it i think thats very very brave

just binged the entirety of 9-1-1 in an embarrassingly short amount of time and i gotta know what in the homo hell is going on between buck and eddie. those 2 are constantly repelling any semblance of a relationship with any other characters and ending up back with each other like opposite poles of magnets who are destined to fall back into place every time. iโ€™ve had lesbian hookups in a drag club bathroom at 3am after 2 joints and a round of tequila that were somehow less homosexual than whatever the fuck they got going on

"What made you follow your mutual" I don't know. I don't remember anything. In my mind we were mutuals at birth. Since the dawn of time. The start of the earth's spin
