Aging up child characters is weird because that means you had to have been attracted to the child character or see them in that light to want to age them up and sexualize them in the first place.

Like Ekko or Vi for example, we saw them as children but they are adults. Meanwhile Isha isn't and never was so to age her up to make it somehow "justifyable" to sexualize her is creepy bc she's a minor and your pretending she's an adult. It's like the difference between wanting to date a minor but waiting for them to be 18 and going through baby photos of your partner.

Is it just me or did Arcane season 2 call Jinx out for all the wrong reasons?

The season condemns her, not for kidnapping Vi and Caitlyn, not for tying up and graffiting on Sevika, not for killing firelightsโ€ฆ

But for bombing the council and enforcer kills. You know, oppressive forces. The people who ruined her life.

Or that they kind of reinforced that she is a jinx or that vi/the world would be better off without her? Which is so odd. It's one of the first things I noticed.

Like they killed Isha which they didn't have to do, Vi's first reaction to being locked in a prison cell is "I was stupid for trusting her", and the at the end when she's "dead" vi and cait are like happy in their little mansion.

And it's an even weirder narrative considering she's a mentally ill character. Like in season 1 she believed that she was a Jinx but she wasn't, she's just a mentally ill girl who's a victim of the oppressive system around her, but no, its just a curse I guess, at least that's what it feels like the show is trying to push.
