It bothers me that most sensory homunculus models used in teaching/demos/etc has artificially small genitals. Like the point of a model is to be accurate. Genitals are obviously highly innervated tissue and should be represented as such

Sorry but the one on the left is strongly implying the that the hands are more sensitive than the genitals. These are supposed to be accurate models with larger size indicating more highly innervated tissue. Seeing one of these with a giant phallus would be way less weird to me than seeing that whoever is making them lacks the maturity to represent genitals accurately so has made the phallus smaller for 'propriety'.

The representation of the genitals should be at least half the size of a hand, realistically a bit bigger. Idk. It's strange to me that the people making these won't just make accurate ones. God forbid someone see a representation of a phallus.

& make one with a clitoris that size too

like they are obviously essentially the same structure, but allowing for a representation of a clitoral shaft paired with a figure that did not have testicles, or had enlarged breasts, for example, would be helpful to visualize the significant number of nerve endings humans have on that body part regardless of how we're sexed/gendered.

the fear of perceiving a representation of a woman's body with external genitals, despite all women having external genitals in different sizes and configurations (unless having experienced cliterectomy due to intersexist or misogynist medical abuse--which tbh comes from a similar place as the lack of representation in these models, namely the desire to erase knowledge/acknowledgement of this body part on women) is so notable to me

Yes! And your tags make an excellent point, nipples are also notably absent or small in most of these. Like, we're being shown a representation of our body with size being mapped to nerve density, and our erogenous zones are tiny. What gives?

hey everyone its april fools. but dont worry i dont have anything planned. just going to sit here and...

I LIED !!!! GET PRANKED

POST BELOW ME GET FUCKING WET
