ANDOR - S01E12 Rix Road

been rewatching some Andor to prepare for s2 cuz I kinda forgot a lot of it. bro how did I forget how peak this show is. I am ashamed. my love for star wars might be returning

crazy to remember "tell him...i love him more than anything he could ever do wrong" was in the same episode as "oppression is the mask of fear", which was in the same episode as “the empire is a disease that thrives in darkness, it is never more alive than when we sleep." three showstopping monologues in the same episode. none being THE monologue you'd associate with the show, with THEE monologue being a toss-up between two other show-stoppers two episodes prior. we should let the andor writers punt that baby yoda prop into the moon

I think my favorite part about these post empire Star wars shows is the fact that there are these crises going on, and it's just funny to think about how han, luke, and leia, are all just.... living their lives.

Like, there are rumors of a planet that has billions of Old Republic credits, and just? They aren't involved? Like what are they doing? It just makes me laugh a little bit.

Also the random name drops make me laugh too.

YEAH LOL i think the ahsoka show would've been seriously improved if it had a scene of ahsoka gaslighting luke into not doing anything to help (bc she'd rather play pretend w sabine instead of accepting her trauma and hanging out with a skywalker)

loveee the repeated canonization of padme’s wardrobe being one of luthen’s many artifacts btw. like andor very much established that luthen’s shop is a lil mini colonial export factory that makes ornaments out of cultural objects with no care for their past. for padme to be commodified like that is soooooo juicy
