I don't remember how or when I came across Ninjago. The earliest memory I can remember is being 8 years old at a cousin's house, watching on the CD player, and vaguely thinking, "Oh, yeah; I remember this show!" Then I forgot about it for a few years (having no internet access at the time), before finding it again some time after I got my first phone at 13. I found some random website that held the pilot season (I remember it because it strangely had Adventure Time in the background and it stuck out in my brain lol). Then I eventually forgot about it AGAIN, until someone I knew online talked about it with me, and it started this whole obsession that has led to today, where I don't think I'll ever forget about it again.

Currently, my favorite season is Season 8. I think it's wonderfully written, we got Snake Jaguar and one iteration of Rocky Dangerbuff, we baby Wu and inklings of Cole being a father, and - while I don't care much for Harumi or Lloyrumi - the thing they had before her reveal was quite cute. Also, the scene between Zane and Mr. E was... chilling on rewatch; Zane desperate for answers while Mr. E beats him to a pulp.

I don't think I have a favorite episode. The episode where Zane found out he was a nindroid sticks to my brain, but who's can it miss? That was probably one of the best episodes that had been written that I - as a child - could comprehend. It also led to some weird imaginings that I was also secretly a robot lmao. Or the episode Zane sacrificed himself in Season 3... Zane always did get the best episodes.

I think it's pretty obvious that Cole is my favorite. He always has been, even if he was assigned to be my favorite when I was young (I had 3 other siblings at the time, so we always had to have a separate favorite. This was also true for TMNT and every show we watched lmao). If this is just fandom talking, I don't know, but I do see him as caring, maternal, and protective of the people he loves and the city of Ninjago. He adapts to their needs like the earth does for people, for good and bad. He tries not to get too emotional, but you know deep down he's a big softie. He's a big ol' dumbass. Zane comes at a very close second, and now Geo is third. I remember thinking Jay was annoying, so he was my least favorite. Just another reason to rewatch the series.

Not entirely my cup of tea, but they are very cute! The idea here was that Cole had been spending endless hours of every night trying to come up with a flawless plan for a mission the ninja would be doing soon. On the last night that he had to plan, he desperately needed help, so he goes to Pixal, knowing that she'd be awake at this late hour. They spend the next few hours coming up with something, and Pixal helps Cole get through the block that he had gotten himself stuck at at every turn. He's very grateful, of course, and Pixal is not used to physical contact, so she's slightly flustered even by such a small gesture as clasping her hand and being so genuinely thanked, even if his voice is softened by exhaustion and so many hours of discussion.

I know it's not exactly what you had asked for, and I'm sorry for that. I hope you can still enjoy the piece regardless.

I love Ed and Edna, but I hate Ed's hair right now. I couldn't figure out how to draw it. Anyway, they're baking cookies for the ninja, and Ed just came in right after working on something in the junkyard. So, of course, there's oil on his face; he forgot about it, but he washed his hands! So, Edna - being the sweetheart she is - wipes it off for him, barely having seen him before knowing he'd missed a spot. They've been married like... 30... 40 years now? Yes, they wear their wedding rings no matter what. One of them might lose the ring in the very last batch, the one they saved for themselves, and then one of them accidentally chews onto the ring. It's like their engagement all over again!

I love them so... so much.

About to watch the Minecraft movie. Can't wait for them to explain the game!

Idea that I will eventually get to:

As a prank, Lloyd sets a hair tinting shampoo on the shelves in the shower. It's pink because of course it is.

Jay uses it, but he has the slightest tint change in his hair. It's still noticeable, though.

Cole and Nya use it, but you can't see it at all since their hair is black.

(Kai does NOT use it. He has a very specific set of shampoos, conditioners, and body washes that he uses, so Lloyd would have to replace the shampoo inside the bottle.)

Here's the important change: Zane uses it, and it's really obvious, both because of the color and how embarrassed he is. He is blond, so duh. He's embarrassed because he knows he should've paid more attention to the bottle, but this has never happened before, so he had had no reason to not trust that the shampoos and such would betray him.

It's cute on him. Lloyd can't even be satisfied with the prank because of the subdued reaction from everyone else. It would've been way funnier if Kai had been the one this had happened to. For as long as the dye stays, the other ninja are caught staring at Zane, but like... adoringly.

Imagine this is one of the seasons where they don't have the ninja hoods and only have the masks, so Zane's hair gets broadcast to the entire city of Ninjago. He'd be so mad.

(Yes, Zane showers. You can't fight me on this because I know I'm right.)

Like, c'mon, here me out on this. It suits him! I love pink on Zane... obviously.

I don't think I had ever seen this ship or heard of the ship name until this request, lol. I didn't remember a lot of what Percival was like from my last watch of the series, so another reason for me to rewatch it at some point. But I also didn't remember him having any of Arin's pie, which I think he would really like. Arin makes a lot of blueberry pies, but Percival's favorite pie is blackberry, so he made it specially for him.

Cole totally asks to spar when he wants to rant, and Karloff knows what that means every time. He listens to him and will offer his best advice when he can. There will be long pauses in between sentences and paragraphs, Cole figuring out how he wants to word something. Karloff is a good listener and doesn't interrupt or say much in return until he knows Cole is done talking and looking to him for his input.

I rewatched Season 9 just for this piece to make sure I got the outfits right. I clearly struggle translating Lego pieces to people outfits, but all things considered, it didn't turn out terrible.
