Leon likes to check in on his descendants and Julius was no different. Shortly after the final battle Leon was there. He watched as Mathias's soul was freed, and then his eyes were downcast to him. Julius. He was barely hanging on, it seemed, having exhausted so much of the holy magic that ran through their vein. So he kneels before them, caressing their cheek, then their neck, moves to brush back matted reddish brown hair.
"You did so well," He praises, a gentle, loving smile. "We can rest now," he murmurs quietly. "You can rest, but...not here. I need you to stay with us, Julius. You have so many more years."
It's not like Leon to mess with the flow of life, but he had a feeling Julius still had much to do and so he calls out to their soul, guiding them back, slowly but surely. At last, brown hues flutter open and before him he sees Leon, and he knows them, their face.
"You..."
The knight chuckles and just smiles serenely.
"Hello, Julius. Thank you, for what you did."
"Oh yes, you did. You did so wonderful my dear Julius. Now, take a nice rest, you earned it."
When Julius closes his eyes, he doesn't wake, not for a few days and when he does, its to the fog of the unknown. Julius Belmont, the one to finally kill Dracula and he couldn't even remember his name.
"Oh, you're awake. How are you feeling?"
Julius couldn't answer, because...he didn't know. Couldn't...put into words, so he just shrugs. That's...all he did.
"Sorry, ma'am, but I couldn't tell you."
"Ah, then, for now let me bring you some food." The nurse smiles and off she went, leaving Julius alone, like before.
Because in a way, he was. Alone and no longer with a purpose.
