I've started using a custom version of the @ticklingduck vibrating wire tool. It's a single wire with a hooked end, and I find it great for being pinpoint about where you're applying sensation (and it's great for getting in-between toes, too!). You can order this from @ticklingduck by contacting him directly and placing a custom order (make sure to request a power unit too if you don't already have one).
