I need to change my fuckking desktop theme ๐Ÿ’› My icon: the Cresselia full-art from Spacetime Smackdown :]

i dont consider myself a 'fashion guru' by any means but one thing i will say is guys you dont need to know the specific brand an item you like is - you need to know what the item is called. very rarely does a brand matter, but knowing that pair of pants is called 'cargo' vs 'boot cut' or the names of dress styles is going to help you find clothes you like WAAAYYYY faster than brand shopping

this also goes for aesthetic or -core titles. 'y2k tank top' is going to get you resellers and fast fashion brands advertising to people looking to meet a current trend. 'thin strap crop tank top' is going to get you a diverse group of results and not upcharge you to hell and back

additionally, shop second hand when you can, second hand and thrift sites typically organize clothes by the cut and color. theyll be more affordable than a depop seller curating you a style to sell you

useful terminology for different kinds of clothing shapes :)

My younger brother is a similar strain to that post I think, today our chat started with "? jomama. What do you think is the most pogchampskibidi rizz day of the week"

I'm a doctor by day (a surgeon to be specific) and your various posts (shared and original ones) made me see certain aspects of surgery (and anesthesia) that I did not realize before. It's a curious thing to consider the fact that some person you don't know lets you sedate them and cut them open and do shit to them. Surgery is scary. I faint at the sight of needles lol. I love it anyway

Just the other day my [if this were just a corporation I'd call him my manager; anyway, a dude overseeing me and others, but not directly my boss] had a surgery that I was a part of and it was such a wild experience. Like, I really respect him as a doctor, and he's the kind of man that you can always count on and who never ignores your concerns, but despite being an experienced surgeon he was scared shitless.

Seeing someone you consider an authority figure scared of something they do every day is really sobering (I mean, he saw A LOT, so he knows all the ways things can go wrong) and when he was up after and tried to be helpful and discharge himself, I had to help him with the typos and then he tried to explain to me the tech details of the surgery he just underwent.except he was still high and it did not make much sense. But it was so cute aaaaaaa. The operator (my coworker, friend of my semi-boss) spent at least an hour sitting in his bed with his head in her lap, comforting him. Again, fucking wild thing to see when you know those people operate on 2 to 5 people every day, depending on the surgery ward possibilities.

Oh wow this is an interesting perspective! Knowing all the ways things can go wrong would definitely contribute to making someone more nervous... and the surgeon trying to explain the surgery while still high sounds hilarious.
