Percy died while he was forging a weapon, his greatest one yet! But it exploded, killing him. Now he's trying to recreate that weapon and finish it, but he can never quite remember how he made it

As for Scrimshaw, he's trying to regain the wealth he had in his lifetime. It was stolen by pirates, who killed him and his dad. He'd love to get revenge on their murderer too, if he could just remember her face...

Yeah, he is! its how he died. A lost soul is someone who died particularly unfulfilled, and is cursed to never be able to go home. Whether home is their house, their hometown, or even someone they love. It could be anything they were attached to.
