Lakshmi in Sanskrit is derived from the root word lakแนฃ (เคฒเค•เฅเคทเฅ) and lakแนฃa (เคฒเค•เฅเคท), meaning 'to perceive, observe, know, understand' and 'goal, aim, objective', respectively. These roots give Lakshmi the symbolism: know and understand your goal. A related term is lakแนฃaแน‡a, which means 'sign, target, aim, symbol, attribute, quality, lucky mark, auspicious opportunity'.

I threw together a quick chart. The colors are just an estimate based on the computer screen so feel free to pick your own. I did my best with the wreath but I was really squinting at the screen trying to pick out the different green stitches โ”โ (โ ย โ โˆตโ ย โ )โ โ”Œ
