Very cool that the rot spreads to regions that weren't intended for them. It seems to work on modded regions, which is great (or Unfortunate™) for any that want be added to Watcher's roster.

I know this is going to make me sound pretensions but I have to get it off my chest. I feel an unimaginable rage when someone posts a photo and is like "this picture looks like a renaissance painting lol" when the photo clearly has the lighting, colors and composition of a baroque or romantic painting. There are differences in these styles and those differences are important and labeling every "classical" looking painting as renaissance is annoying and upsetting to me. And anytime I come across one of those posts I have to put down my phone and go take a walk because they make me so mad

In case you're curious here's what I mean.

Renaissance(distinct lines, stability and the individual man):

Baroque (bold, chaotic, dramatic):

Its my BIRTHDAY AND APRIL FOOLS so i get to draw whatever I want. and I wanted to draw mspaint ggg scugs. because ive been going crazy in the new Watcher DLC. which is also why i havent been posting much, apologies.

Day 8 - ₛₘₐₗₗ

one thing i love in GGG is the shared heart motif between Inspekta and King. its so compelling to me and works so wonderfully to showcase them as foils - forgive me if i ramble about it for a bit!

in the paintings we see of King and in her god form, she bears a heart in her chest. and it's not just any simplified one either, it's her actual heart. it's real, it's visceral, it's bleeding, there's no denying what it is, but it's genuine. sometimes it can be too much to look at, but it says "whether you care for it or not, I'm here and I'm authentic". she's comfortable to have that vulnerability, baring your heart means accepting the harm that might come with it, but also how beautiful it can be to live in sincerity

now Inspekta - all his hearts are "fakes". some are red, most are gold. you see heart shapes stamped everywhere: posters, merch, the van, his hat, even the Bizzys tails that curl up when they see him. it's very in your face, but for all there are, it's still only the shape of a heart - not an actual heart. they're convincing, but they're not entirely real. it's cute, it's digestible, all the good parts with none of the bad. a heart he paints on to distract everyone, they'll see him in the perfect image he wants, and he can still hide his true, insecure heart from vulnerability. but in doing so he only ends up harming himself, feeding those insecurities further because he can't accept the harm that comes with baring your heart open

and especially when you think about that they were friends before the game events, it makes their shared motif that much more interesting - how much did they influence each other?

tbh if you're worried your art style doesn't accommodate different types of people here's a fun little checklist:

If your answer to any of these is a "no" or a "maybe" then maybe you need to flex your character design muscles in that area. I definitely haven't drawn characters who fit all of these categories myself, even if i know i could draw them. It's a fun challenge regardless, and every one of these prompts still has a bunch of variance within them.

Me when a song has honestly nothing to do at all with a character but I played it a lot while thinking about them

the fun thing about handwriting words instead of using font is that you can do the emotion thing easier. the unfun thing is inconsistent size and also not straight and also writing neatly is so troublesome.

I kinda wonder if Inspekta being so cartoony and cutesy-looking is partially . Like. He’s a ‘mascot’ for the bizzyboys. He was a human being, once! A human who lived and breathed and cried and did all the gross unsightly things a living being does! But now he’s a perfect-little cutie-pie, ain’t he? Not a blemish, not a single gray hair or crooked tooth- an immaculate mascot for the cause!

But then you just take a look under the surface and he’s . Empty . Nothing more than the face of a mascot and the hands of all the followers who lifted him up to where he now stands
