hello i have not posted in two months because i have been so busy! so sorry 😔

unfortunately i'm probably only going to get busier, between working to get into college and working to, get a job?? make some kind of sustainable income, and also still have fun and rest, i'm so busy! and while i could still continue the ask blog as it is, it would go too slow for me to actually get to the cool stuff i have planned

so, my process needs to change. if i want to tell the story i want to tell i need to prioritize whats important to me more and cut the things that aren't. and i need to do it in a way that's fun for me to do.

so, things are gonna get a bit wacky silly here.

i'm going to be simplifying/lowering the quality of most of the asks i do, maybe even in a new style. don't worry! important moments will get the amount of detail and effort they deserve, but in regards to other things, i don't think marx talking about his favorite ice cream flavor needs a whole lot of it.

and, in regards to the pacing, i'm going to be doing time skips more liberally now. that could get confusing, so i'll implement some kind of sign to signal the reader that significant time passed.

hope you'll bare with me through whats probably going to be an awkward transition 🙏

but, since i have more freedom with my pacing now, i have something special planned...

still thinking about the brainrot that fast fashion has caused in people, like i made this pair of pants that are black and white with a cool flowery design, and an acquaintance saw them and said "wow i'd pay like 20 dollars for you to make me a pair" and i could barely think with how utterly horrified i was at that; i told them that 20 dollars wouldn't even cover the materials, let alone the hours of work that went into cutting, sewing, ironing, hemming, altering, etc. they just had this look on their face when i told them that, when i said i wouldn't make them a pair for even 100 dollars because that was still way too low of an amount, a look that said "you're crazy for thinking that those cost 100 dollars" and maybe i am crazy but holy shit, 20 dollars for a pair of handmade, durable, lined pants fitted specifically to your measurements? 20 dollars for upwards of 60 hours of work? 20 dollars for several yards of high-quality fabric, thread, and buttons? 20 dollars???

What they don’t tell you about getting into bird watching is that once you get into it, you do not get to decide when you bird watch. You can be on the beach of some distant tropical country with nothing planned except relaxing.
