Jinx x Reader
Warnings: Light tension, mutual pining
Jinx doesn’t bring people to places that matter.
Truth be told, she hardly brings people anywhere at all. But tonight, she takes your wrist in her hand, warm and calloused and certain, and pulls you through Zaun’s maze of shadowed alleys and rust-bitten catwalks. The city murmurs below in fractured neon, a heartbeat of music drifting through the grime like a ghost that forgot where it was going. But up here, it’s different. Quieter. Like the world forgot to look.
“Keep up, slowpoke,” she calls, tossing a grin over her shoulder, sharp as broken glass and bright as static. “We’re almost there.”
You crest the rooftop with her, breath catching in your throat. Not from the climb, but from what she’s kept hidden.
The skyline sprawls before you like a jagged constellation, half-swallowed by smog. And yet, above it all, stars blink faint and stubborn. The city hums below, alive and uncaring. But here, on this lonely ledge, the world feels like it belongs to no one but the two of you.
You glance her way, but she isn’t watching the lights.
She’s watching you.
“You like it?” she asks, too casually. The question cracks at the edges, like she’s afraid of your answer.
“It’s beautiful,” you whisper, letting the word settle between you like dust in quiet air. You sit at the edge, legs swinging over the void, and she drops down beside you. Close enough that your shoulders nearly meet, close enough to feel the warmth of her without touching.
And for once, she isn’t moving. Isn’t twitching or laughing or lighting fuses just to see what might burn.
She’s still.
And the silence between you isn’t empty. It’s full. Of things neither of you know how to say.
Your fingers drift along the metal ledge, and hers find them, brushing just barely, like a secret.
It’s nothing. It’s everything.
You don’t pull away. Neither does she.
Below, the city pulses. Above, the stars flicker like a breath held too long. And Jinx, restless and reckless and wild, lets herself belong to this one fragile moment, the space between you humming with a quiet, unspeakable something.

Jinx as a girlfriend.
- Takes the “Would you love me if I a worm?”thing to a very serious degree. When you ask she just smirk and says “duh” then would return with something like “Would you love me if I was completely unrecognizable zombie with a lust for human brains—your brains specifically?” (She fully expects you to say yes or she’ll huff for an hour)
- She likes to touch you. She likes knowing you’re somewhere she can reach and not leaving anytime soon.
- Yapper. She’s always talking. And you’re always listening. And you have to be actively listening to keep up with Jinx because she switches subjects every two-three sentences. (Works out perfectly if you’re also a yapper because the two of you can discuss six different topics in ten minutes)
- Gets jealous easily. Big on PDA so people can know you’re with her.
- I love love love the idea of using petnames like trinket. I think it fits her!
- She really loves when you ask her opinion on things. What you wear, what for dinner, where she wants to go on a date, etc! It makes her feel appreciated.
- Not the best cook, but tries for you anyway.
- Takes you on very adventureous dates. Could NEVER take you on a boring dinner date because she gets restless and has to be moving. Carnivals, walks in the park or forest where she can take you on as many detours as she likes, children’s arcades, etc! As long as it’s active and engaging.

no warnings (i think lemme know if i'm wrong) it's late so these are slightly incoherent !!
✶. an absolute academic powerhouse, though she doesn't seem it. double majors in art and mechanical engineering. shows up five minutes before exams looking like a party exploded over her—eyelids still stained with glitter from the night before, accenting her almost purple dark circles—and absolutely destroys the curve, etc etc.
✶. don't remember where i first saw this but she would skateboard everywhere. it's always strapped to her backpack, spraypainted with a chaotic masterpiece and outfitted with custom grip tape. instead of the library she goes to the skatepark, hanging out on the top of the ramps and dual-wielding a paintbrush and a calculator. skates there on the weekend, does a couple competitions, but never gets too too into it. she totally did a bunch of the art as well, the walls covered with pink and blue and purple.
✶. would worship the ground you walked on if you were her regular barista. would refuse to take her coffee from anyone else. even if she just takes it black that day (which is how you know her professors are on her ass) she claims you make it better. tips in doodles and drawings, usually of you that she scrawled while she was sitting there.
