feeling really crazy today thinking about the jackadlers match with the fact that the whole stadium was chanting shoyo's name, celebrating his plays, and shoyo turned back to meet tobio's eyes and smile at him to share his glory with his person. meanwhile tobio was mirroring his satisfied grin, knowing that his someone better finally caught up to him and made him the happiest :'))

Don't mind me, I'm just thinking about how Hinata, himself, knows and acknowledges that one of his main drivers - the reason why he's so desperate to succeed - is Kageyama.

And even though Kindaichi points out that it's not like Kageyama is the literal best player, Hinata still treats him like he matters more than anyone else.

And even though Hinata hears that (at this point, in his first year of high school), he still spends the next like 5+ years fixated on beating Kageyama...
