He’s sipping on a fruity cocktail at the bar, contemplating his life when the bartender gives him a drink he didn’t order and says it’s from the gentleman at the other end of the bar. It’s a familiar face. It’s Steve fucking Harrington, his childhood best friend and.. first crush. Steve is clearly comfortable in this space in a way Tommy can only dream of. They catch up, share a drink, the dance floor, and more.

Steve is determined not to attend the 10th-year Hawkins High School reunion. His life is a disaster: he has no success to celebrate, he recently divorced Nancy, and he’s scared to face his old classmates, especially Tommy. He used to be his best friend, and maybe even something more, but they were young and they were just experimenting. After an embarrassing accident, Tommy asks Steve to move in with him. It will be fun, like those sleepovers they used to do as kids. No second purpose at all.
Here's my part of a collaborative effort with @medusapelagia for @stommybang '24-25! She's a real joy to work with and I had a lot of fun watching her story develop while I figured out what I wanted to draw.
