Made this for my good friend @suedoodle, who suggested a crossover between Mario and Asterix as an art trade. My part consisted of drawing Cacofonix interacting with side characters, namely the goombas. Hope you like it, Sue! 😄

He makes a lil friend; sweet baby is just happy to be here 🤣 Very accurate, a few of the peculiar younger characters in the stories tend to like Cacofonix. HAPPY MAR10! 🌟 On this special day I figured maybe I'd share my comics again, but what they looked like when it was just in the messy-sketchy stage before I ink everything. My editor is the friend who got me the copy of M&L:PiT game mentioned in the previous post, she's the one who tells me if the readability of the sketches is good or where to improve. Oh, and the title image cards don't get sketches because I make them after after the story is completed.

Oh, and a question: how do you learn to draw characters so accurately? You have them down to a tee! :D
First time editing together a speed paint, so hopefully it was acceptable. As for how I draw characters, I usually just try to gather a lot of reference material and figure out how they're shaped. If you can break down any character by there most basic shape-y forms at the start, it becomes much easier to get things fairly accurate later. Start as blob, 🫠 the form will solidify in the mind...🙂 Music: Lullatone- "how I broke my parents' record player when I was five" "tool belts are the cool belts"
