Have you seen the preview for Huening Kai's Dance with You because ooooh??? Oh I'm so sorry, I'm not familiar with his game and now he has my attention. Love to see he finally has his moments as he ages gracefully. I understand why some fans can't describe how beautiful he is when they see him in real life.

YES let's talk about it! huening kai - time for an appreciation post - is really one of the best-looking guys out there, and not just because he aces the jack frost hair: he's been serving looks comeback after comeback. the 'dark and alluring' concept has suited him spectacularly ever since. (my favorite styling below)

he's kind of like a solemn, very tall, very beautiful puppy. with glowing perfect skin at that. hyuka has this stunning nose that sets him apart, and incredible bone structure.

i’m gonna be bold and say that skz have the most consistent artistic message out there. rarely do they stray (pun intended) from their thing. they continue to deliver the music videos, the entertainment, dance, culture, events, and looks. they are always the full package and keep your interest. do you know how hard it is to keep that up? nothing about the level that they’ve reached is coincidence and deserves it all because god did bang chan fight like hell for this

a taemin-appreciating loveletter on XLOV going viral with “1&only” right now as a genderless concept group which i absolutely love! have you seen how incredible they are? at a first glance i could already feel that they can shake things up, make a difference and enter a new, exciting cultural trajectory. and that was just the first watch. it gets even better from there! XLOV just leaves you wanting more immediately: the outfits, the dance, the sets, the beat, and so many killing choreo parts it’s ridiculous. what - or who - led to this beautiful culmination of art, kpop history-wise? i think we all know.
i wish i could thank taemin and shinee every day as due to their pervasive influence, kpop (think hyunjin, jimin, chungha, kai, haechan and more mentioning taemin’s impact on them) is so ahead of the curve and a female or neutral gaze on things is pretty much established, breaking the mold is celebrated, both a rarity. a group like this, then, is long overdue. to me, someone as courageous as XLOV (as a group comprised of otherwise often conflicting nations on top of that, uniting japanese, chinese, korean and taiwanese members as a statement) is what we’ve been waiting for. XLOV says, why not, what’s stopping everyone else? utopia is possible! they simply came to drop jaws without any compromise and delivered.
XLOV doesn’t have a “shinee” signature nor do they need it (nor can shinee be truly, fully copied ever), nevertheless i see what inspired them to go all out. taemin has never tried to pander to an existing status quo, much less emulating a stereotype-laden ‘straight’ or ‘gay’ pre-made mainstream formula, which i think is astounding at his scale of impact, in this politically challenging age. i think that art directors showcase an increasing feel for it, and we can slowly create a safe space where idols can come out or break free from oppressive standards like XLOV, even against the escalating odds of korean society and whatever backlash is there. taemin shows: you can prevail.
he has always taken an androgynous, bi-friendly, fluid, whatever you want to call it aesthetic for granted. that’s how ‘idols from the future’ like seonghwa, g-dragon or felix are created and i love it - it proves how the radicalizing shift in masculine norms over the last decade is not a thing of absolutes (think about CL vice versa, who has always had a successful alpha woman concept) and encourages everyone to do their thing outright. so i was giddily happy to see ppl discussing and protecting XLOV everywhere with their amazing sensual visuals and THAT incredible choreo. it’s a must-watch for pride month and beyond if you love unisex as a concept in kpop.

stray kids’ personalities: hello... we’re eight sassy cuties 🎀😄😌💕

skz’ music: ANARCHY!!!! GET OUT OF OUR KITCHEN!!!!! HOOT HOOT NYAH BRRRAH ENERGY BOOM INDUSTRY ZOOM! [heavy electronic buzzing as changbin reaches lightspeed and hyunjin twists his long legs into a knot]

Hi caro 🌹Why does hyunjin look so good in a buzz cut even though he's a soft dramatic ? Wth 😂

BUZZCUTS & KIBBE BODY TYPES

quick answer: because hyunjin is too hot to look terrible, ever

long answer: i'm personally not a fan of it, the long hair is his signature. from a technical standpoint, it's not dyed as i wish it was, too. not all buzzcuts are created equal: i would bring it closer to the head, and color it darker. zayn style. his barber was always the shit.

one could say zayn's face is carrying it, but it's fair to put hyunjin in that level of beauty as well, i think. although zayn is a classic type of sorts, though, maybe SC. i changed my mind about him being a TR. his body type is too rectangular, chiseled. niall is more yin, for instance. and many classic men have a reputation for being visually perfect and at a medium 5'9-ish height, which zayn is. male Rs are smaller and way softer. jimin is the #1 example, still.

that being said, classics do buzzcuts semi-better since that hairstyle is ultra-symmetrical. although it wasn't well-executed, it looks cute on taehyung (who's certainly in the classic family, too).

still, kibbe only recs going that short to gamines anyway (e.g. natalie & kristen below) as they are short in statue — the kibbe principle is "putting same things to same things" to create beauty — and he is right. the buzzcut belongs to G much like tousled hair belongs to Ns, sleek hair to Ds, the middle part to C, and curls to R.

🌹 KIBBE types || Why Hyunjin is a 𝒮𝑜𝒻𝓉 Dramatic

↪︎ INTRO :: Welcome to another lengthy Kibbe Body Type analysis. Today, I’ll discuss Stray Kids’ Hyunjin, who is certainly among the most beautiful men of our times 🌹
Across the web he’s been typed as a [Soft] Dramatic, Dramatic Classic, and Flamboyant Natural respectively — I make my case for SD here in bite-sized illustrated points. Enjoy!

---- 🅲🅾🅽🆃🅴🅽🆃 ----

I. ANALYSIS 🌹

  • why he’s in the dramatic type family
  • hyunjin’s SD features & fashion
  • comparison to FN/DC/D + other members’ types (Chan, Lino, Han, Felix)
  • why he fits the versace look

II. CONCLUSION 🌹

  • hyunjin as an archetype and GNC icon
  • shifting beauty standards
  • thoughts on kibbe type distribution in skz/k-pop generally (do successful groups feature types from all 5 kibbe categories?)

Who are some male idols you think are hot, but are incompatible bc they come across as tops?

I.M has that energy, I'm thinking Kai (on stage obviously), Taehyung sometimes has it, as does Hyunjin, to a fault 😂

... though I'd jot down all of them for the "i radiate bossy switch vibes" category — and the biggest culprit is him:

The real hot top kinda guy is this man... #1 nominee and it's not even close.
