My name is Sultan, and I’m a 25-year-old mechanical engineer from Lebanon. Since graduating in May 2022, I’ve faced immense challenges in supporting my family of eight. The war in Lebanon has taken everything from us our home, our stability, and our sense of safety. We are constantly moving from place to place, trying to survive in a country where the cost of basic necessities has skyrocketed, and opportunities have disappeared. The war hasn’t just destroyed buildings; it’s torn apart the fabric of daily life, leaving my family struggling for food, medicine, and a future.

I’m the sole provider for my parents, siblings, and my sister’s child, but without steady work, it’s becoming impossible to meet our needs. In August 2023, I started learning German with the goal of reaching B1 level so I can relocate and find work as an engineer. My dream is to provide my family with a better lifeaway from the violence and despair that the war has caused. I’m asking for your help, whether through sharing my story or contributing a donation. Your support could bring us the hope we so desperately need and help us rebuild our lives in peace and dignity. Thank you.

A Journey of Survival: Sultan’s Story of Hope and Determination

My name is Sultan, a 25-year-old mechanical engineer from Lebanon. I graduated from Beirut Arab University in May 2022, dreaming of building a better life for my family. However, Lebanon has become a place of hardship and instability due to the ongoing war.

My family of eight has lost our home and security, constantly moving in search of safety. With my father, now 58 and unemployed, the responsibility to provide for us falls solely on me. I used to work in the automotive industry, but as the war escalated, I lost my job, and employment is now a distant hope.

Each day is a struggle to meet basic needs like food and shelter. My parents require medications, but securing them has become increasingly difficult due to the black market and our limited financial resources.

In August, I began learning German, aiming to reach the B1 level to find work abroad. I long to escape this nightmare and provide my family with the peace they deserve.

I am reaching out for help—not just for myself but for the three young children in my family, the youngest only three years old.
