Hi. I don't know what I'm doing, but I'm doing it. I'm nonbinary (whatever pronouns) and 18+, so...

me when i cant comprehend that different continents have different animals

the rest of the paragraph that was cut out in that screenshot literally explains the reasons behind the easter bilby and bluntly theyre minimising the impact that wild rabbits have had as an introduced species in our ecosystem.

the easter bibly was an ingenious campaign that builds in social awareness and change to an ongoing annual tradition without detracting from what that tradition represents. the choice behind it was intentional

saying Australians "don't like bunnies" because of ecological damage is like saying Americans "don't like rabies" because of the health risks. They're a major problem and the Easter Bilby rules.

Embarrassing to have worked at an Outback Steakhouse as long as me and not know this.

This response is absolutely sending me

I thought it would delight you to know that ants do have a sort of funeral mound for their dead

yes there is a name for this! necrophoresis is a process with social insects where the bodies are taken to a specific location on the outside of ( or within ) the nest - ants tend to keep them all in the same place, and the way an ant is signaled to be "dead" by its other members is through the release of a chemical called oliec acid

theres even been a few experiments where live ants were coated in the same chemical and other ants treated the live ants....exactly as though they were dead and tried dragging them into the pile

"Why didn't they just communicate?? They're so stupid!" Have you considered that communicating with someone you love and value and don't want to hurt is scary and that vulnerability takes practice and that perfect characters with perfect words make the most boring stories of all

Hey, no homo, but I am sitting on the broken swing set out back in the still, quiet, 2:00am blackness and picturing the softness of your voice and the darkness of your eyes with such perfect and terrible clarity that it feels like I'm choking on my own heartbeat.

I want to try so many little hobbies. Candle making, soap making, basket weaving, wood carving, book binding, baking, weaving, I want to try them all.

I almost made a post about this the other day (unless i actually did and totally forgot) but there’s so many

I was going to make a list, but then i realized this is a good time to share this book

Making Stuff and Doing things is a whole collection of old punk DIY zines about making and doing just about anything, even things you probably never knew you wanted to do.

Book binding? In there.

Making bowls from old vinyl records? I made a whole ton for my brother’s grad party last year.

Basics of guitar? Making rubber stamps? Silk screening? Composting? Homemade beer, root beer, and wine? Soymilk?? Quill pens??? All in there.

Since it’s more punk, it doesn’t have a ton of the folksy, cottage vibes/hobbies, but it’s all about being resourceful and sustainable, which they both have in common.

If i ever need to do anything I’m not sure of, I double check this book to see if there’s anything in there. It’s one of the only books on diy I’ve ever needed.

📢 Seeking Support for My Tuition Fees 📢

Dear friends and kind-hearted individuals,

I am currently facing financial difficulties and need support to pay my tuition fees of $600 for this semester. Education is very important to me, and I am working hard to achieve my academic goals.

I truly appreciate any help, whether small or big, as it will make a huge difference in my journey. If you can support or share this message, I would be extremely grateful.

Wendy Headcanons! The Summer we meet Wendy is her third year at the Shack.

Someone asked why Stan loves child labor so much and I know it was probably a joke but I started to think: I do think there’s a part that like - kids don’t know their worth yet so less pay is easier to get away with. But also knowing about Stan’s upbringing and the way he views money I do think he does it partially out of a place of caring. He equates having money with self worth and possibilities (money can get you freedom) and also in a way to increase your social standing (his father valued it) so I think he sees a kid who wants to get a job, something that isn’t working for their dad, and make some freedom for themselves when no one else will let them (the workers law for children are usually super strict about less time they can work in a row/in a day/on a school night) and is like. Well. I guess I need someone to man the register.

anybody else feel that being human is like being a long-time syndicated cartoon character watching the world get more complex while your own design stays the same until youre incongruous with the reality around you??

Do you ever see a complicated meme that expresses a very specific feeling, and while you wouldn’t have said it that way, it instantly resonates with you?
