And, admittedly, when the figure steps out from between the trees, his first thought is that it is indeed an elf. Straight Moonshadow white hair falls to the womanโs shoulders, her garb dark and frayed, skin ghostly pale, but then the head turns upwardsโand even if itโs been six years, no matter how long itโs been, he will never forget that face.
It's plain to believe but it's hard to see From within the shadow comes a light Through the hole in your aching side It's a brighter wound
As tempted as I am to imagine that Claudia performs the spell to transform herself into a dragon in a dramatic moment in the middle of some heated battle with our main protagonists, I do like the idea that the spell is complicated to perform and requires time and ingredients and ritual, much like the spell to return a soul to a body, which puts Claudia performing the spell privately, in the gap between arcs 2 and 3, this also being a good parallel to the first timeskip, not just in that to partially steal anotherโs form probably requires all sorts of fucked up steps, like she did to resurrect her father, but this time sheโs doing it entirely alone. And as she gathers the ingredients and prepares to perform the spell, Terryโs absence will ache all the more
