the biggest bullshit everrrrr is when people say "men and boys are punished for crying whereas women and girls are validated and comforted" it's such bullshit people will literally see a woman crying and call her an evil manipulative bitch

pet peeve is when a fellow hater conducts their haterism such that they leave the hater community vulnerable to attack. β€œi think characterizing Character A in x way is boring and annoying” = beautiful, flawless, unimpeachable haterism. no one can tell u that u aren’t allowed to find a certain characterization boring. β€œit is morally/objectively wrong to characterize Character A in x way” = sloppy, reactionary, overcommitting. you have left our eastern flank open to attack girl what the hell….now my dedicated hater troops are taking fire from YOUR enemies fuckkkkk

"I am finally a woman willing to feed herselfβ€”light, bread, joy. Sometimes, you don't know that you're starving until you've had a proper meal. That's when your heart really begins to howlβ€”when it learns what it's been missing."

I just started watching the x files and like you're introduced to Mulder as this "spooky" weird, off putting dude and Scully is a rational scientist medical doctor then 5 episodes in you find out he's just autistic but she's catholically deranged

The X Files is great and was truly the slow burn blueprint because sometimes Scully will look at Mulder and be like 'you are the one person I would risk it all for' and Mulder will be like 'I would never be okay ever again if I lost you' and then there will be a Moment and immediately afterwards they will just drive away to some weird town in Wisconsin where some creepy looking bug is terrorising the crops or whatever and they just continue on bickering. and this is like season 1 episode 5 at 34 minutes in and you have to just sit with that.
