I've been thinking about this for a while, and I just want to put it out here.
I think I saw this on tiktok or on here, but someone made a post about how the twst fandom treats the twst parents, more importantly comparing Riddle’s mother and Silver's father.
Now, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I respect the poster's stance. This is just me explaining why the fandom treats the two different.
Now, let's address something. Parents aren't perfect, even fictional ones. So, to prove my case, I'm going to bring in Lilia and the other twst parent in here as well.
So right off the bat, Riddle's mom is not only a bad mother but a bad person. Now a bad person is putting it a bit too harsh, but Ms. Roeshearts isn't the sweetest cookie in the jar.
Not only do we see the extent of Ms. Rosehearts parenting with Riddle but her going after Trey’s parents because of the tart incident. From what we seen in Book 7 is how Riddle can't even imagine his mother speaking to him in such a soft voice....let that sink in. Or how Trey was low-key traumatised by the encounter Ms. Rosehearts had with his parents.
In conclusion for this segment, Ms. Roseheart is a bad mother and even worse person to be around.
Moving on to Silver's father, the Knight of Dawn. We only have limited information on him, but the big takeaway is that KoD killed Meleanor. This is where we bring up what the poster commented about, referencing that Ms. Rosehearts got hate for her parenting while we give KoD a 'pass' despite him killing Meleanor.
This is a huge difference. The difference is that the Knight of Dawn had no choice. Ms. Roseheart CHOSE to raise Riddle the way he is now. She CHOSE to yell at Trey’s parents and the Knight of Dawn? He wanted to end the war peacefully with as little causality as possible, yes he didn't agree on killing Meleanor but he had a child and wife waiting for him back home that needed him...so he had no choice.
In conclusion, for this segment. Though the Knight of Dawn never had a chance to raise Silver, he did what he had to do to keep him safe, even if it meant taking lives.
Now unto our final segment....Lilia. now, lilia is a mixed bag. We know from book 7 that Lilia had a lot of growth to go through to be the lilia that we know today. With spending a good chunk of his life trying to hatch Malleus after losing Meleanor and the Senate being assholes Lilia deserves some fucking wine.
But as we could see through Malleus's past, in book 7 and recollections of growing up with Lilia, we could see that Malleus envied how Silver got raised differently by Lilia. Malleus knew the Lilia that couldn't make it on his birthday, the lilia that barely visited, the lilia that was hard on him. To Malleus, Silver was more important in Lilia's eyes when that's further from the truth.
I think Lilia failed to teach the boys how to properly express themselves and their emotions, as we could see at the end of book 7. This lack of communication was the start of Malleus's overblot in the first place, Lilia underestimates how important he is to these boys, how much it will affect them when he finally passes.
To finally wrap this up. The fandom doesn't like Ms. Roseheart because she's a bad mom and an even worse person and chose to be that way. While KoD had to do what he did for the greater good, and Lilia, who may not be the best dad, but he is a good person that tried his best with what little he had.
" Meleanor wouldn't want Malleus marrying a human", " Meleanor wouldn't approve of Malleus dating Yuu."
This is the same woman that basically told the Senate to fuck off as she scared away the suitors they chose for her only for the lucky man to be just some guy.
Malleus is his mama's son. If Meleanor found out her boy is dating a magicless human, she would, of course, think her son could do better but remembers that she married Ravene of all people so in the end the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree.
I know her ass is laughing in the clouds as she watch her son pull the same shit she did. Bonus points if the Senate loses their shit and Malleus just makes out with yuu out of spite. Meleanor will rest peacefully knowing her son followed in her footsteps in pissing off the Senate.
seeing the recent events from the new Dead by Daylight killer, ' The ghoul ' (aka Ken Kaneki) and how he's not ' a real horror killer' because he's from an anime, despite the game also having a Junji Ito collaboration which is also anime.
On behalf of the Identity V fandom we welcome Ken Kaneki with open arms when netease make a collaboration with Tokyo Ghoul seeing that y'all are ungrateful. 😤
OK, OK...so I'm seeing a pattern with the different Yuu right.
(Heartslabyul manga) Yukken- guy
(Savana Claw manga) Yuuka- girl
( Octavinelle manga) Yuuta- guy
( Scarabia manga) Yuuna- girl
If this pattern is right then....
( Pomefiore manga) ???- guy?
( Ignihyde manga) ???- girl?
( Diasomnia manga) ???- guy?
Here's my predictions of those three yuus. I think Pomefiore yuu is going to be feminine in some sort of way, so there's two routes. Yuu would be a masculine looking girl who's often mistaken as a guy in contrast to Vil's feminine look. Or Yuu is a guy that is more on the feminine side, makeup, hair accessories, etc, maybe even a cross dresser male yuu which would be pretty cool.
Ignihyde yuu would probably be a streamer/ vlogger, a person who’s both entwined with Internet culture but still has time to meet new people outside of it and share their experiences with the world through their vlog, contrast to Idia’s shut in nature. And maybe this yuu also lost a loved one similar to idia but instead of falling into despair and guilt they use their vlogging hobby to connect with people and find friends to confide in and deal with the grief and trauma.
And Diasomnia, yuu? I think they'd be hyper, like adventurous, maybe. I like to think that before they came to twisted wonderland they were mostly shun by people for being 'annoying and loud' a person who probably can't read the room when something serious is happening, contrasting Malleus who is feared because of his status causing people to distance themselves from him. Maybe Yuu had some solid friendship back in their world but grew apart with time and them accepting that all good things must come to an end but the memories with the ones you love will last a lifetime.
I think Malleus would find a connection with yuu, bonding over how lonely they feel despite being around everyone, and maybe yuu helping Malleus learn some healthy ways to deal with change and how to handle his emotions and relationship with other people.
But that's just my predictions.
MY BABY I WILL HUNT THEM DOWN DONT YOU WORRY
