It only gets weirder when in The Final Destination, it’s speculated that the entire movie was actually Deaths design including the mall premonition.

I know Final Destination is hardly the intense world building exercise, but like wtf man.

I mean who's to say there isn't some other force that just thinks its funny? Just doing it for the laugh? I do not dare to guess the whims of beings who are eternal and outside our plane of existence. That is not my department.

Also maybe Death is just bored.

First off: I didn't have a "watch all the worst movies on the evil movies list cause I need to prove I'm edgy" phase. My version of that was being the first one in my circle allowed to read Stephen King and describing it to all the other children. Like I was supported in my horror journey by my parents so I wasn't rebellious about it. So intellectually I am aware of all of them, and I know what happens in most of them, but I don't personally need to watch August Underground and Guinea Pig and all that. I want at least an attempt at artistry, I don't need to watch the extreme fake films I'm good. Youtube also didn't exist until I was like 13 so dodged that adolescent bullet. All that said: I love French Extremism and I love found footage so what I have watched:

The Poughkeepsie Tapes, Martyrs, Cannibal Holocaust (in that case its mostly how gross ACTUALLY making the movie was), Antichrist, not the movie as a whole but just the sexual assault scene in the original Last House on the Left
