I'm not angry (close the door)

A metaphorical demon, I hasten to point out. But no less dangerous - and no less bound to wake up again to continue its ravages. Such is the nature of all monsters."

Halsin and Tav are in a rock band out on tour. Their demons come along for the ride.

A modern Faerun AU fic, where magic and gods are remembered as pretty fables and all the races have simply got on with their business. Inspired by the golden age of decadence and decay that was '70s rock.

  • explicit, 3/9 chapters, currently 13.5k
  • Halsin/Tav, with some Halsin/Tav/Gale, Halsin/OCs, and Tav/OCs on the side
  • content warning for substance abuse

Notes

Infinite thanks to maharlika, without whose cheerleading and encouragement, this would not exist.

This is essentially the Halsin Origin Quest to a larger AU verse taking shape in my head. How would he come to mentor our beloved group of vagabonds and strays in a more modern context? As such, this is set a decade or so before the 'main quest', and everyone here is a much younger version of themselves. In order to move forward, you have to know where you're coming from.

So, is the implication with the Nelanther pirate that Halsin met him at port somewhere (Velen/The Forest of Tethir/the Wealdath most probably, though they were pretty adamant of keeping pirates away from those ports), on the Isles themselves during his adventuring days (scary and extremely violent place to be visiting there, Halsin), or took up on a pirate ship for a while?

I'm not sure which is more interesting, but they're all plausible to an extent. I lean more towards portside meeting, somehow someway slipping past those defenses, as it makes the most consistent sense, but the others intrigue me.

Happy International Women's Day!

In celebration of this occasion, we are delighted to announce the free release of Women's Wrongs: a Baldur's Gate 3 Fanzine!

The PDF & digital merch may be found here, and, for the true 'zine experience, we have also formatted it as a digital flipbook here. Links to both can be found on our Carrd as well.

By popular request, we will also be adding a version of the zine formatted for print-on-demand to the charity bundle, in addition to the existing version formatted for personal printing and hand-binding. If you would like access to the charity bundle yourself, you may email us with proof of eligible donation. If you do so before March 21st, 2025 you will be entered into our ongoing giveaway for a physical copy of the zine!

Your support for the project’s cause has allowed us to raise $1,048.46 directly for women and children in need, and $1,631.34 in total impact via charity match programs. There are not words enough to express how much this means to us, nor how grateful we are for this experience, the remarkable contributors without whom this project would never have existed, and those of you who encouraged us all along the way.

To women's wrongs!
