I’ve been pondering the idea of a Victor!Treech AU where, after his return to his district, he’d be either hallucinating or haunted by the ghosts of some tributes, reflective of his guilty mind

He’d see Lamina mostly, in shadows, like how in the arena she was on the beam, with the sun directly hitting her, which would technically make her have a huge shadow over the arena or when the sun hits someone’s hair, and it makes it seem almost bright, bright like her red hair. Doesn’t help that he’d constantly feel like District 7 blames him for “betraying” her, so seeing her would feel even more painful.

As for other tributes, I feel like he’d hear the pack in noises, like sounds of metal scraping against hard surfaces, or chain links clicking (if we wanna include Tanner) and cracking noises could remind him of Teslee, either when he swings his axe at a tree, or simply the sound of a crack.

Perhaps Lucy Gray in colours, like how Snow sees at the end of the movie, the rainbow reflection on the Capitol’s statue, and in the songbirds flying around in the trees, spreading their melody over the district.

Lastly, the one he could see but feel the less guilty about would be Reaper, as Reaper symbolises the rebellion, and whenever the ideas of a revolt is brought up, he’d think of what he’d done in the arena. He wishes that, he had done more himself, and often finds himself thinking that Reaper should’ve won himself, and feels inadequate to be the one to carry the memory of the 10th Hunger Games.
