super girlfailure 🫶🏻
something something ‘feminine’ female characters being deserving of all things good and righteous and holy because of them overcoming their suffering by working within the system that hurts them using their wiley feminine attributes and charm something something ‘masculine’ female characters being villainized for fighting outside the constraints of the system they’re still subjected to in a more hands on approach and being victims of similar if not the same circumstances as their ‘feminine’ female peers but it doesn’t count for some reason because they don’t suffer as prettily as their counterparts something something
and EVERY time there’s a female protagonist who is even SLIGHTLY gnc, it’s met with immediate backlash of “there’s nothing wrong with being feminine, we need more traditionally feminine female characters!” hello horseshoe theory.
"we need more feminine-" TRADITIONAL FEMINITY ARE EVERYWHERE! Its already as abundant as a boring Christmas movie
THANK YOU SO MUCH
I love Arya because she’s fierce and she sees past the constructs of lady hood and how woman in Westeros are expected to be and want to be. She wants more for herself. Im tired of people thinking that it’s a bad thing for Arya to have more traditional masculine traits like her love of sword fighting and her passion for architecture. But guess what, those traits shouldn’t be seen as gendered. That’s the whole freaking point is that gender is a construct
As a gnc woman I am so TIRED
Can we have yuri for two characters who haven’t even interacted on screen yet or even had their movies come out yet
Actually think that Hawkgirl and Supergirl dating would be interesting because they’ve both had their fate tied to men in some way
Kara cause she was supposed to care for Clark but then not having to due to him being fully grown by the time she got to earth
Kendra cause she was supposed to be in love with Carter. But it’s clear that she wants to focus on being a hero before that relationship
Then the choice to break out of the expectations set upon them by fate/ their society by loving and taking care of each other
Idk but it just sounds like a relationship between the two could be really revolutionary for both of them
characters who are undead. characters who die in the end and so they've been dead from the start. characters who are chased by death. characters that chase death. characters who died and came back to life. characters that die again and again and again. characters who consider their past self dead. characters who were born in someone else's corpse. characters that claw their way out of the grave. characters whose deaths leave such a gaping wound that even their absence is still a presence. characters who are emissaries of death. characters who are alive but consider themselves dead. characters whose deaths are ambiguous. characters whose existences are defined by death.
reblog to remind prev they're not a bother and their presence is wanted <3
Just gonna drop these here as a starting point :)

Our Japanese class found it funny that in common terminology "food" isn't very distinguished from specifically "rice" until it was pointed out to us that in English "meal" is "loose roughly ground grain"
