Since you said both Sonic and Shadow are physically in their 30’s, I find it funny that Shadow only grew a little bit while Sonic looks like he got stretched

Sonic is 30-31
Shadow is in his 30’s (physically, we all know he was frozen for 50 years however he did not age since well, he was frozen)

I'm adoring your comic so far, but I'm a little confused by one thing: Why would Sonic run off from Clover when there's a guy with a gun threatening them? Why would he expect Shadow to follow? Unless he knows... O_O Also we love Dad Sonic awwwww

So, random thing I noticed. 🤔 Sonic still had a Soap shoe when he first arrived here, but nowadays he's got just a boot on his organic foot. So now I'm wondering:
1. When/why did he retire his Soap?
2. Assuming the new boot isn't made for running, would that mean Sonic isn't protected from the impact his speed has on his body anymore? And would that mean it hurts for him to run nowadays? (Or at least more than it used to?) 🥺

1: he still has his soap shoe! Though he rarely uses it since he walks most of the time, no reason to run on a calm planet like Marmolim
2: He is not used to running anymore, he kind of “gave up” on it a bit, since his prosthetic would often fail and break and the mechanic kept fixing it for him; he felt bad making him constantly go through the trouble 🥲 and he only stuck to fixing it with tape or screws the way he could.
Let’s say he’s gonna be very tired after the encounter with Shadow 😮💨

Apologies if this has been brought up before, as I am new to the blog, but I’m curious about that Marmolian that kind of looks like Amy. Does it mean anything? Or is it a coincidence like how some Chao look like specific Sonic characters?
It's meant to be a nod that signifies that Sonic's friends are always with him <3 and mostly just a nice reference to them 😊
hi, i heard clover is 12-13, but that marmolians also just have longer lifespans. does that imply they age out of childhood slower too? because clover did give the vibe of a 5-7 year old to me (not that we've seen much other than him chowing down on cake), and i'm now curious when a marmolian would be considered an adult, lmao
So since Marmolians don’t really celebrate “birthdays” or keep track of how much they’ve lived, settling in a single age number is a bit hard. I’d like to say that some are “child coded” and others are “adult coded” based on their size and how they speak and express themselves. Some Marmolians grow faster than others depending on their diet, like eating more vegetables and nutrients based foods (unlike some that would rather only eat sweets/fruits).
Also Marmolians rarely die of “natural causes” since they’re usually a healthy species that can survive harsh weathers, their overly friendly nature kinda helps them not get attacked by other species (so far).

He would definitely call him dad, though Sonic might be reluctant to being called that.
