R. Paul on the cover, not sure about the interior art.ย
Oh hey, I made this guy in blender
Radio Shack Mini Amplfier - Speaker
I use this little speaker with my synth setup, it runs on a 9 volt, and is a nice little throw in for my cable box. Its not a great speaker, but its very portable.
Apparently I forgot to post this?
I modeled the inner parts too
@taperwolf Yeah, I wouldn't call it a good speaker, Im not sure the amp circuit's anything to write home about either. (although it is much better after I replaced the caps, so maybe not so bad)
but I find the small size and replaceable battery super useful, because I can store it for long periods and not worry about having to charge before use. even replacing the batter is faster then charging
I wish I had three of them tho.. I tried to buy a second speaker recently, but it doesn't seem like there is a modern equivalent (all the little speakers now have Bluetooth, and rechargeable internal batteries, so much shorter batter life when stored, and they are usually bigger too)
I just found your creations and they're so cool! I also just learned about cross-view optical illusions, which are like Magic Eye images except you don't need the abstract pattern. Since you're already 3D modeling these, I think all it takes is a second picture with the camera shifted? Anyway, huge fan already!
glad to hear you liking it, thanks!
Yes, I could make magic eye, or spectroscopic images, I'd probably make a setup with two cameras, and drive them with constraints, something like this;
But the non-glasses style of stereoscopic image doesn't work for me, which I think, would make them pretty hard to make.
I don't know why, but I have never been able to see anything in a magic eye book or anything of that kind
transport carrier V-271 maneuvers over a gas giant!
Historians remain divided on whether the launch-bays are loaded with mecha or salvage drones in this photo
another version of my "pinecone carrier" concept! this one has 64 launch bays, and no armor. the parallel bays are meant to allow faster deployment and recovery. In this design I envision the bays as unpressurized, with an elevator running down the central spine for access. pilots and crew would ride in the pressure hull at the bow, but pilots could also ride in their cockpits for short trips.
I'm using a decal for the bay doors to save geometry, I modeled it in a separate blend file, then rendered some passes with an orthographic camera to get the normal map, ect. normally I make everything in one maga-file and then bake/optimize, but thinking ahead is faster and crashes my computer significantly less.
the background is a photo from Cassini/ NASA which I have edited/colorized to match the scene
Found this at a thrift store, anyone hear of it before?
(The "game" I'm making music for might not be real, but the gorgeous box art by @technician-the sure is!)
really enjoyed making this commission for @gamejoypod! excited to hear the music when it come out! ^^
