8. Do you add recruited PKMN to your team?

Does this mean actually using the recruits? like exploring with them, and raising their levels in dungeons and giving them good TMs, like I do w/ me Partner?

if so. nope :'D

idk every PMD game it's just been Hero and Partner for me. in the games that have recruitment - and where you can nickname them - I just let anyone that asks join the team, and i give them silly names, and they kinda just stay on standby. forever

I like that in Rescue team I can visit them and talk to 'em, and in Gates where you can more or less do the same. Explorers is a little sad bc they're like. just a list??? unless I invoke them??? :') Super feels similar.

the tl;dr is the recruited PKMN are more like buddies to me, as opposed to real recruits that I have to train to get stronger and help in the jobs. maybe they'd get annoyed about that.... ;u; or maybe not.... good story prompt either way.

15. Favorite PMD character overall?

Hydreigon.

There is no competition :D

I don't think any other PMD game has a character so lovable, so honorable, so silly, so fierce and so tender as Hydreigon. he's just out of this world.

Gates does a real good job at making you get attached to him, because that scene with Kyurem was the most brutal and cruel thing ever done in any pmd game. //////it also made me hate Kyurem's guts. I am still bitter about Kyurem to this day.

anyway Hydreigon is the MVP, no other PMD character compares

18. Best moment in any of the titles?

This is a really difficult question bc i can't pick!!!!!

I am going to randomly choose that moment in PSMD where the Tree of Life is pulled into the sky and there's dirt and big stones falling, and Partner tries to reach it by jumping on each falling stone, but they can't reach it, so everyone gives them a boost in the air. and when it's Hero's turn, it's a really cute moment that shows how much their bond has grown.

picking this one not because it's The Objective best moment in any of the titles - i myself don't really believe it is. IDK which one would be. I've also seen this scene been called corny before. - but rather, it's the moment most ingrained into my memory from any of the titles, because it feels taken straight out of an anime adaptation of PMD, and I very much dig anime-like things.

How about... 7 and 10 for the ask game!

7. Which has the best post game?

Blue Rescue Team!!!! // ~ v ~ ) // haven't played Red or DX

It's not the best because it has super good writing, or the gameplay is fun, or anything. I think Rescue Team's post game is the best bc it's the longest!!!

at least, it very much feels like the longest. to me...

like, every PMD game after Rescue Team has this sort of "finish line". a point which you reach in the post-game and after that, nothing interesting happens anymore. In Explorers, it's after beating Darkrai in Dark Crater. In Gates, it's bringing Hero back in Worldcore // Gates barely has a post-game, which is a shame.... // and PSMD suffers from the same problem as Gates.

the og Rescue Team also has this "finish line", but it takes a lot, lot longer to reach it. Even when the most impactful post-game event happens, there's still new interactions that unlock, and fun quests, and incredibly rare events, and it makes the world feel so alive for so much longer.

I guess this comes from my stupid, naive wish for the adventure to never end - I wanna keep experiencing the PMD world, and its charming characters, and explore new places. that's not feasible for any game, I believe. Rescue team somehow gets close....... that's why it's the best for me!

10. What starters would you add?

frickkkk nobody would want my starters :'D not the players and not the developers. pretty sure their movesets would be crap for starter pokemon standards. among other issues.....

but uhhh...... I'd add grimer partner. and slugma partner. and magnemite player..... and vanillite player.... and a litwick player/partner......

for no reason other than I'm obsessed w/ these little guys and if I could have them as pardnter or player, I would get attached to them so fast and so intensely. lookit my grimer partner......... they're a cutie......... also they stink and it sends enemy pkmn packing. a lifesaver

Any of 4, 9, and 12 for the PMD ask game?

4. Who's your favorite PMD starter?

skitty..... also happens to be my favorite pkmn overall!!!! pink kitty cat. it's adorable ;w; I love all cat pokemon.

also funnily enough PMD made skitty so overpowered. they tried to nerf her in Explorers but she still stronk.

9. In Sky, do you often visit Spinda's Cafe?

Nahhh I got places to be!! i am sorry spinda.

no really, in the main story I liked taking lots of jobs and going into the dungeons the most. I didn't really give Spinda's Cafe much attention and I dreaded having to go there for cutscenes. lemme explore the dungeons why are you holding me back hereee ):

until post-game, that is. I started farming gummies to buff my hero and pardner, and Spinda's juice thing was super helpful!

12. Which game has the best graphics?

Gotta hand it to Rescue Team DX. I've never played it //dont even have a Switch//, but I've seen some cutscenes on Youtube. they made the Rayquaza meteor hyper beam so freaking cool. It was already cool in og Rescue team, but the developers really knew how to use the potential of a more powerful console.

13. Which game makes you cry the most / makes you the saddest?

Tied between Explorers and PSMD!! Out of the main four, these were the ones that made me actually cry (Rescue Team and Gates didn't turn on the waterworks for me, but I adore them all the same).

In Explorers, I rmember crying in the "Memories Returned" scene. can't help it, after playing through the whole story this final moment is a punch to the gut.

I also cried in the "Igglybuff the Prodigy" ending..... // I can't even remember that Special Episode very well, it's been a long time. only that Guildmaster's story with Armaldo was very engaging, and they're separated in a really sad way, and that broke my heart.

In Super, I cried in the "Setting Off" scene, where you're leaving Serene Village and the school kids see you off... then they show you those letters and I was already bawling. The music really really helps with that - it's super emotional.

the 2nd battle against Dark Matter also made me cry. a LOT. :') which is funny bc why am I crying in a boss battle. Gates did this scene first, and it was good, but then Super comes along and raises the stakes and emotional impact up to eleven.

something about just you and your partner, a pair of kids, being the only ones that can defeat the world-ending eldritch abomination, which decimated everyone else that could oppose it, including every legendary, including freaking arceus, and you're doing it in your powerless base forms - that thorough the whole game, in a very gameplay-story integration way, was always underleveled and weak...... bro it was incredibly, utterly hopeless. it was just so, so over.

and yet you press on. haha that broke me. :'D fought the shadow orb through tears. absolute vidya game.
