I really can't get over this post by @ficandkaboodle about V admiring Copia but being shy vs. Copia interpreting everything as a personal attack, so I had to draw it. No idea what their dynamic is actually going to be, but I want to play in this space for a bit.
Question! i just found you on A03 and i went to start your commission series but then i saw it supposed to be a trilogy and saw that it was published back in 2023 so uhhhhh im assuming its never going to be finished? if so is book 1 gonna leave on a cliff hanger? or do you plan on maybe picking it up again at some point? just a tad curious
I really got in my head about book two, where I wanted to go with it, and if it was good enough. I’m happy with the first book as a whole. It hits the right story beats in a way that I liked. It would need more editing to be cleaner but I’m happy as it is.
It ends with more story definitely, could be a cliffhanger-ish but it’s a complete story within itself. It’s just I’m in a place where i think the reader would probably come up with a better ending than me from what they have read, you know? Maybe that’s a confidence thing.
I got half way finished the second book and passion/confidence just left me. That first book was done in half a year because I had a story to get out and feelings to sort through and now I’m a bit blasé and so is the second book.
I think the only way to know if it’s worth reading for you is to give it some pages read, and if you like the tone I set, the journey might make it worth it being unended.
I do still poke the second book sometimes. So who knows, maybe I have a story yet.
That being said, if you want something that is not sad, and has an ending there is the Sodo one. Way more lighthearted that’s called ‘moth and flame.’ C:
