If your RW fic Assembly would be animated: 1 which part (scene or other bit) you would like to see the most? 2 What part would get the most detailed butter smooth animation? 3 What visual metaphors would you put into some scenes?

Fascinating question. I thought about this for a while and while it's probably disappointing given it doesn't exist, I'd probs pick the assembly ending for the real intense animation since that's got feels, themes, and intense visuals.

However for lack of that existing in a shareable format, I'd say the scene where Suns arrives at the doorway of Sigs' can and travels through his body to reach him in his chamber. I drew the first shot of that:

And I mapped out a comic of it I would've drawn if I had the energy for something that involved:

Which would've had its panels set to the poem that Suns quotes in story shortly before that event:

So overall it's the extant / written sequence of the story I've imagined most vividly and with the most visually dramatic elements that would animate well. For all that I enjoy Assembly a lot, it's a very introspective story, and most of the emotional beats occur in conversations that likely wouldn't animate very well. But the sunsig meeting? Yeah god that would work.

3sig+ sketches and doodles of varying effort levels and age, featuring suns, peepaw sig dragon, pibbles meat body, more outdated attempts at figuring out pibbles meat body, pibbles puppet, peepaw sig, and a lizard named Parry

@ all my dragon prince followers who are still inexplicably around: I don't expect to be catching up on / writing for the fandom again any time soon, but I reread the future Ceracurist Callum Gets Fake Kidnapped For Training chapter recently and it still slaps. Anyone want some snippets from that to stoke the flames?

Reiterating for emphasis: the last tdp content I consumed was S4. Please do not spoil me for anything. I'm waiting for the right time to re-engage.

shout out to all of y'all in the comments feeding the author. snippets and extracts below the cut

Had a super weird dream where we adopted a dog from a shelter knowing that he was noted to have a potentially novel contagion. This contagion turned out to??? Kill him??? And reduce him to a fine atomic mist that then reincarnated(???) into a tuxedo cat?? So then we still had a dog but he looked exactly like a completely normal tuxedo cat

Me: ok subconscious mind. What's my ideal dog

Subconscious mind: your ideal dog is cat

Some ink experiments with a pentel brush pen, primarily inspired by @missmonstermel , who was making some ink drawings lately with one that looked super fun to do. I looked up the pen and ordered one right away when I realised it was actually pretty cheap. It's so much nicer to 'draw' with than a standard brush.

The first was just on a piece of random cardboard I had to hand at the time. Went well until I smudged the eye at the last minute. The second I got out my old watercolour pads for.
