A proposed initiative has been submitted to the California Attorney General, which would prevent insurers from delaying, denying, or modifying any procedure recommended by a physician where it could result in death, disability, loss of bodily function, or disfigurement.

While LA attorney Paul Eisner requested it be named after Luigi Mangione (misspelling his last name), ultimately the title decision will be by the Attorney General's office if it heads to the ballot.
