probably feels good as fuck to be a 1960s house wife blissfully dissasociating on barbiturates and speed and your husband comes home and starts screaming at you for no reason and in the state of fugue you calmly grab the hot pan of oil off the stove

any recs of places to listen to conversational welsh that aren't super fast paced? radio cymru is quite a Lot for me but i want to get a better handle on the sounds
There's a lot of recommendations in my resources tag, but one particular stand-out for me is S4C's Dysgu Cymraeg channel! The videos are all produced with dysgwyr in mind, whether it's simply adding bilingual subtitles or producing an entire comedy series about learning Welsh! They also have a TikTok account that has more bitesize, youth-oriented content, if that's more up your street.
I'm not a Welsh learner myself, so I always try and signpost resources used and enjoyed by actual dysgwyr. If anyone has any additional tips, rhowch wybod!
for a while now I've been watching Pobol y Cwn and Rownd a Rownd on my lunchbreaks with English subs. It's great listening practice with lots of everyday vocab, though them being soaps I've also learned words like llofruddio (murder) :-p

i’m moving to wales next month and i’m using your blog to try and learn more welsh words :) my pronunciation is still abysmal, it’s like a 50% chance if i can say the double l sound correctly, but i’m slowly learning :) thank you for this blog!
Ww, croeso mawr i Gymru! While this blog is useful for niche statements such as 'mae defnyddio pot mawr i goginio ffwcdunnell o fwyd yn wych' (using a big pot to cook a fuckton of food is awesome), I also recommend you check out my resources tag for less unhinged learning content, especially in regards to learning the phonetic alphabet and how to pronounce things!
However, if someone fresh to Wales and its language came up to me and introduced themselves with a 'helo dwi mor ffycin normal', I'd personally be delighted.

As a 90′s kid, it blows my mind that origami youtube videos exist. You can look up any model and watch a pair of manicured hands assemble the thing in real time, in full color, in 3D, with cheerful flute music in the background. When I was little, you had a library book with no words and these esoteric little dotted lines and arrows and it was just you, your hands, your paper, and the cruel, uncaring eyes of God.
Fel plentyn y 90au, mae'n fy synnu i fod fideos youtube ar gyfer origami yn bodoli. Rwyt ti'n gallu edrych am unrhyw fodel a gwylio pâr o ddwylo wedi'u trin yn gosod y peth mewn amser real, mewn lliw llawn, yn 3D, gyda cherddoriaeth ffliwt lon yn y cefndir. Pan oeddwn i'n fach, roedd gen ti lyfr llyfrgell â dim geiriau a llinellau bach cyfrinachol a saethau a dim ond ti, dy ddwylo, dy bapur, a llygaid creulon, diofal Duw.
