⠀intro post time

⌗ hi i’m apollo i use he/him/his or they/them/theirs pronouns and yes im still a woman i simply dislike she/her pronouns. feminine or masculine terms of address are fine (example, you can call me mr or ms or mx, I don’t really care on stuff like that). i am an author and artist though author primarily. you can find my writing at thatapolloguy (MCYT, my main account) or wingsandaharp (my SPN pseud). my two main fandoms are spn and myct (primarily trafficlife and hermitcraft), although i have also watched arcane, the umbrella academy, and the x files. I’ve also played a couple pokemon games, and legend of zelda (botw)

⌗ i don’t see a point in a dni, i will block you if you make me uncomfortable and curate my own online experience accordingly. i am firmly on the side of ship and let ship/blocking rather than harassing people for things that i don’t personally enjoy. that being said if you don’t think lesbians can use he/him or they/them pronouns id rather not get into that debate because that’s literally just who I am.

⌗ i don’t have a good tagging system, really. #apollorambles is for me talking about bullshit, #apolloanswers is asks. that’s about all.

While cleaning out my room I found a paper that my therapist gave me some time ago to deal with obsessive and intrusive thoughts. Sorry the paper is a little crinkled and stained, but I figured I’d post it in hopes that it will help someone like it helped me.

  • That thought isn’t helpful right now.
  • Now is not the time to think about it. I can think about it later.
  • This is irrational. I’m going to let it go.
  • I won’t argue with an irrational thought.
  • This is not an emergency. I can slow down and think clearly about what I need.
  • This feels threatening and urgent, but it really isn’t.
  • I don’t have to be perfect to be OK.
  • I don’t have to figure out this question. The best thing to do is just drop it.
  • It’s OK to make mistakes.
  • I already know from my past experiences that these fears are irrational.
  • I have to take risks in order to be free. I’m willing to take this risk.
  • It’s OK that I just had that thought/image, and it doesn’t mean anything. I don’t have to pay attention to it.
  • I’m ready to move on now.
  • I can handle being wrong.
  • I don’t have to suffer like this. I deserve to feel comfortable.
  • That’s not my responsibility.
  • That’s not my problem.
  • I’ve done the best I can.
  • It’s good practice to let go of this worry. I want to practice.

I just learned the funniest fucking thing

Ok so when the like, fake tik tok ban happened in January, apparently there was this trend beforehand of 'tik tok confessions' where you told your audience a 'secret' before the whole thing was deleted and you never saw or interacted with any of them ever again

Now that sounds like a fun enough joke

But apparently there were several big tik tok influencers who took it seriously, and just straight up confessed to lying about everything in their videos, which their Tik Tok audience apparently also DID NOT know about, and now with tik tok not actually being banned it's actually really impacted their careers

This is so fucking funny to me. This not only means that several influencers truly believed that the tik tok ban was happening, but they believed it to the point of giving up their current career and literally any chance of restarting that career at any point on any other platform
