when did it become a 9 hour work day? i can't think of the last job i had that didn't require 9-6 or 10-7 work hours. yes there's an hour paid lunch in the middle but that used to be included in your 9-5. why are we all just okay with this? why have we forsaken dolly parton?
i already think the 40 hour work week is bullshit and now they've tacked on 5 extra hours and are just hoping no one notices? they're stealing the time straight out of our lives, is anyone else pissed???
GREAT point: lunch hour is OURS, except it's NOT if it's on company space at company's discretion. and that is 100% intentional. if you're trapped at the office, why take the full hour? might as well head back to your desk and get your work done. i often do this! TAKE YOUR FULL LUNCH. leave the premises if you can!
