i always parse “squidward” as meaning “in the direction of squid”
let's say that you died and were replaced by an impostor who lied so convincingly in its portrayal of the real you that it genuinely believes itself to be you. would that be fucked up or what?
Due to a pact I made with Theseus many years ago, this happens to me at random intervals. I have no say when it happens.
So I've seen the whole 'Math's Saddest Love Stories' (asymptotes that drift ever closer but never meet etc.), but I think we're missing the potential of Math's Funny Love Stories. The couple whose destiny is an infinite cycle of breaking up and getting back together again:
Oscillating rapidly in and out of each other's life for a while before drifting apart in opposite directions:
Drifting ever closer, until you finally meet and go fuck that:
One who drifts slowly closer to the other, until they acutally meet and decide to make a very sharp turn in the other direction:
Whatever hellscape of contrived coincidences these series of infinite near misses are:
My favorite part of Adventure Time is just how well it captures the passage of time on a large scale. Finn and Jake go on crazy adventures and are well loved and celebrated in their time. They’re fucking celebrities in Ooo! But in episodes set hundreds of years in the future, no one remembers their names. Even immortal characters like PB or BMO eventually forget them. These characters we followed and grew to love are reduced to legends and I think that’s beautiful
By age 22 you should have a circle of at least five cool and weird trans women advising you at all times
I have this except they just make fun of me for fitting a bunch of stereotypes. Whether or not they are cool is still up for debate.
