Hello everyone! Mom here.
Henry passed away November 7th, 2022 in the morning, in my arms. I believe he was between 11 and 12 but since I didn't know his birthday, I can only guess.
I thought I had lost access to Henry's blog (bunmom does not have a brain for remembering passwords) but turns out, I didn't. Henry went through ups and downs, got himself a Mini Rex brother whom he LOVED, and spent years napping in his favorite spots and completely ignoring his litter box (as was his preference haha)
In his last year he slowed down a lot, lost weight, and had 2 bouts with stasis. I could tell his age was catching up with him. He took a very serious, very fast down turn and passed before we could get an appointment with our vet.
Despite all the horrible, heavy, insurmountable sadness his passing has left (both for bunmom and his baby brother) the silver lining is that he got to spend his last couple months eating his fill of oats! As most people who followed Henry's blog know, he was famously famously picky and never had any favorite treat, even turning his nose up at bananas. Henry's life and love were oats. He started out with them to try and gain weight, but right away bunmom could tell they were his favorite thing ever. In the end he got as many as he could eat, as he had stopped eating everything else.
So sorry for the bad news but I am leaving this blog up in memory of my special boy. If anyone wants, I can start posting his baby brother (now 4 years old). Let me know.
