i know i’m very down on the later (read: the majority of the) series but i’m never going to judge you for liking whichever parts of the series you do! my love for the simpsons is so much more about nostalgia than it ever will be about objective critical opinion which is why whatever you enjoy is cool

The Bronson Missouri joke is that unlike Branson Missouri, which is full of country music and “like if Ned Flanders ran Vegas” Bronson Missouri is full of people that are just Charles Bronson, an actor known for some pretty violent movies, most notoriously “Death Wish”. They have made a few classic jokes about him sprinkled into the series.
