Hello! :D I'm doctor / squid (he/him) and this is my binge blog! this might change to a general one eventually, but for now this is where i'll dump all of my thoughts about lupin the third as i watch through the series!*

i will (try my best to) tag parts/use #sketches for any art i do!

things i DO like about the trailer is that I love how Mamo is supposedly coming into all of this. I liked Mamo as a movie and the inherent experimentality of whatever he brings will undoubtedly make the new movie weird as well (positive). Also, like most Koike things I've seen, the animation is WONDERFUL for Lupin the Third, it will always be such eye candy no matter what. Also the soundtrack rocks so much cock

I think my biggest gripe is not even Koike's fault so I'm not even going to begin blaming it for that. But it does suck that such a different take on these characters is the only way Zenigata gets a moderate amount of screentime in...what, years? Part 6 barely had any of him in it, he got pretty shafted in Part 5. And he's been delegated to a comedic side-thing for a lot of TV specials. Maybe it's just my insane bias for him

#AND OF COURSE i'm super happy that he's getting screentime At All#I'd rather he get stuff to do#and this is a SUPER PERSONAL argument I'm not expecting literally anybody to agree LOL#it's just Personally Ai Em Oh

the only thing I retained from the new teaser is that they gave Zenigata a really good body type for some scenes. I wish that he looked even slightly more decent in the face area but his big ass yaoi hands in particular are killing me

#koike#movies#still not super excited but i'll probably enjoy it! especially since I liked mamo#i do need to start the koike series I am just yet again horrible with movies#they gave him the closest thing he's ever had to body hair since the 80s-90s so i'm glad about that

also this thing's INSANELY fugly zenigata is a personal attack on me. He got demoted to officer (ๅˆ‘ไบ‹) instead of detective (่ญฆ้ƒจ) and is named Wyde, like, spelled-in-katakana Wyde (ใƒฏใ‚คใƒ‰). Insane. How did nobody catch him.

#i'm assuming it's because lupin was SO EARLY into it's stardom at this point that they might've not known how iconic lupin was. but still#holy shit.

what lupin is truly missing in it's modern era is an extremely hot and competent woman who's so down bad for Zenigata that they're willing to do anything ANYTHING to pry him away from Lupin. And then it doesn't even work.

#zeni#jasmin was proof that zenigata will follow people around like a stray dog if they promise him a normal life. i miss him so bad#all he does in this episode is act cute. they made an episode where the plot is that zenigata is cute
