Odd question, but as somebody who spends an inordinate amount of time thinking about genderswapped Spirk I'd like to ask, have you heard of any historical f/f Spirk? I know it may be a long shot but I'd love to know if we have anything of the kind

! I'm glad I saw this in my notifs before it got lost to the shadowban void!

There is, unfortunately, very little k/s femslash in old zines. I do have these two somewhat unserious examples:

R&R Fanzine | Nadya Emmanuel, 1981 // Obsc'zine Fanzine | Gordon Carlton, 1977

I know it's not K/S, but there is Kismet, a Chapel/Uhura story by Dani Morin (1977) that ends with them gossipping about a rumor that Kirk and Spock are also in love.

+ Cross Currents by Marion Zimmer Bradley (1980), where Rand and Chapel use Kirk and Spock as beards to hide their own relationship (this little excerpt ^^ has some lovely dialogue between clueless Bones and Scotty).

Lastly, And Then... by C.M. (1975) was a short femslash fic about two klingon OCs!

Anyway, I would love nothing more than to stand corrected if anyone has some vintage fem spirk I don't know about. Thanks for the ask! You probably won't be notified and I can't tag you, so I hope you see it :(

Thinking about how Wyatt Callow is proof that Dr. Gaul’s and Snow’s assertion that humanity’s essential nature is violent (which is part of their argument for the Capitol’s control being necessary) is false. That “What happened in the arena? That’s humanity undressed… A boy with a club who beats another boy to death. That’s mankind in its natural state.” is false.

I’m sure he had it all calculated. He knew exactly what choices would give him the best odds of survival. He knew that the faster he got out of the initial bloodshed the better his chances would be. He knew that letting other kids die would benefit his odds of survival. He knew exactly what he should’ve done to preserve himself.

And yet, he threw all those statistics and odds, all that reason and logic out the window in the name of protecting Lou Lou, a girl that wasn’t even from his district. He threw it all out the window in the name of helping another human being that was in an unfair situation and had worse odds than him. He knew who the real enemy was; he knew it wasn’t the other kids being taken advantage of by the Capitol just like him.

That is humanity.

Yeah yeah not all aromantic people want to be in a QPR and that's more than okay. You can understand that without bringing it up whenever an aromantic person who IS in one and is very happy in it makes a post about how much it means to them.
