I mean yeah sure online friendships are superficial and you don't really know the person I guess. But there's someone who lives on the other side of the world, who I never would have met if not for very specific circumstances that caused our paths to cross. And that person cares about me and they send me videos that remind them of me and message me their thoughts and tell me that they love me when I'm feeling down. So yeah online friendships don't mean anything I suppose but there's someone who lives an ocean away and they love me, surely that's got to count for something?

I promise you, the answer is not Mr. Darcy... read all the options before you vote!

Eats pussy for breakfast: Henry Tilney, Frederick Wentworth, Henry Crawford

Yes: Colonel Brandon, Charles Bingley, Admiral Croft, Robert Martin

With prompting: Edward Ferrars, Darcy

Only with Mary Crawford: Edmund Bertram :/Fanny deserves to get eaten out too Edmund!!!

Wild card: Mr. Bennet (I mean... How'd they get all them kids???)

I heartily agree with this deep understanding of Austen's male characters. I personally think Mr. Bennet is proficient in the bedroom and nowhere else, but that's a headcanon with little evidence.

Sorry op I couldn't resist

I curse you for even making me consider this

JOMP BPC - 1st January - Reading Goals

My reading goals for the year are few and flexible:

  1. Read regularly (most days)
  2. Read some physical books as well as listening to audiobooks
  3. Reduce my tbr pile a little
  4. Read with an emphasis on pleasure - it's not school homework! (I can turn anything into work/duty/responsibility/burden, so point 4 is the most important one!)

🖤☀️COVER REVEAL ☀️🖤

Are you ready to step back into the shadows? Behold the breathtaking cover of @hollyblack’s #ThiefofNight, exclusively revealed by @peoplemag

There'd always been something wrong with Charlie Hall. Crooked from the day she was born. Never met a bad decision she wasn't willing to double down on. She may be good enough to steal a shadow from a tower, but will she be good enough to steal back a heart?

The highly-anticipated sequel to the #1 @nytimesheadline bestselling author Holly Black's stunning adult debut, Book of Night is out on September 23, 2025 from @torpublishinggroup and @delreyuk!

hi, a lot of you need a perspective reset

  • the average human lifespan globally is 70+ years
  • taking the threshold of adulthood as 18, you are likely to spend at least 52 years as a fully grown adult
  • at the age of 30 you have lived less than one quarter of your adult life (12/52 years)
  • 'middle age' is typically considered to be between 45-65
  • it is extremely common to switch careers, start new relationships, emigrate, go to college for the first or second time, or make other life-changing decisions in middle age
  • it's wild that I even have to spell it out, but older adults (60+) still have social lives and hobbies and interests.
  • you can still date when you get old. you can still fuck. you can still learn new skills, be fashionable, be competitive. you can still gossip, you can still travel, you can still read. you can still transition. you can still come out.
  • young doesn't mean peaked. you're inexperienced in your 20s! you're still learning and practicing! you're developing social skills and muscle memory that will last decades!
  • there are a million things to do in the world, and they don't vanish overnight because an imaginary number gets too big
