Do you think when BTS members have a solo career, many will love and support Jungkook? I'm sorry if I ask this, I'm just scared for Jungkook, I don't want to hurt him when in the future there are only few who will support him especially since he always questions himself if he can influence and have an impact on others just like they do now as BTS on his own. I just thought these things because as a Jungkook biased I notice that most of Jungkook's supporters are not consistent in supporting his own songs, his videos, his GCF's. Some times, it occurs to me that they don't really appreciate his contribution and hardwork as main vocalist, lead dancer, center, and sub-rapper of BTS, instead they often hype is his looks, how beautiful his outfit is on their performances, how quickly he can sell out the ones he uses, how many views of his hashtag on TikTok, lols, just superficial things. It seems that his artistry, his love and passion for music and performances are just being put aside, he doesn't get the appreciation and gatefulness from his own supporters enough and I really feel bad for him because I think that's one of the reasons why he is still not confident enough or the way he carry himself.
Do you notice these things too? I sent this to you because I know your bias is Jungkook and I really want to know other insights from jungkook-biased too on this topic. Hope you would read this. Thanks!
Sorry for taking so long to respond! I did notice some armys just love him superficially... but I definitely don't think most of them do. Lots and lots of people appreciate his talents in all areas and would definitely hype up his solo work too. I'm sure his mixtape, once it comes out (🙏) will be a huuuge success and loved by lots of people—not even just armys or Jungkook biased. The problem is, those superficial ones, or those who only see him as an object to be conquered by their bias in their ship... they're the loudest. But they're in no way the majority.

As long as he feels good and tests negative, I'm sure he can perform! The recommendations are 5 days of quarantine after testing positive, so he should be free this Saturday. Let's try to think positive and believe the universe will move for Bangtan 💜
Hi Euna, hope you're doing well! I had a question regarding JK's response "그럼요", which translates to 'of course', to the ig comment asking to kidnap JM. I saw many k-kookminers react to this with vids of JK boxing & such, it gave me the implication that perhaps JK responded in sort of a challenging/sarcastic way? I had also looked up the phrase & found that "그럼요" could either mean 'of course' or 'of course not' depending on the question asked. I was wondering if you could explain this more?

There's a lot of different ways to express the affirmative, "of course" meaning in Korean (그럼요, 당연하죠, 물론이죠, etc). They each mean similar things, but the tone/force that they give off are all slightly different. Out of those, 그럼요 comes across as having a more relaxed (the word I want to use here is "여유로운") tone. Which is why it lends itself to a more sarcastic, jokey feeling and why a lot of k-kookminers interpreted it as a challenging — "Sure you can take him. If you can get through me" — kind of way.
Overall, I feel like tone is one of the biggest things that gets lost with translation. While 'of course' is the correct translation, it inevitably falls a bit short of conveying the nuances of how 그럼요 can come across and be received. This kind of gap makes it possible for there to be misunderstandings, but I hope that it's abundantly clear that in this situation, JK was giving faux permission to a fan in an obviously joking manner.
