My first ever Miraculous fic was when I was 18 (I'm 28 this year), and it was around the time season 2 had just started releasing episodes.
The premise was that Ladybug transformed to fight an akuma, only to realise she developed a new power: floating. The catch was she didn't know how to control it yet, but that for SOME REASON, she stopped floating away like a helium balloon when she held Chat Noir's hand (she felt safe with him, I think was my loose justification).
So much of that one shot hinged on Ladybug being so embarrassed and awkward about the fact she needs to hold Chat's hand so much. Which I find SO funny because like??? They LITERALLY hold hands in the very first episode of the show?? These two aren't a couple but they're still SUPER close. I don't think Ladybug would hate holding his hand, more so she'd be annoyed about the handicap during the akuma fight, or about the teasing that would undoubtedly follow on his end. The holding hands part, I really think she'd be normal about.

i see way too many fics where gabriel is homophobic and this is just not the case
gabriel wouldnt let adrien date a boy for the same reason he wouldnt want adrien to date marinette, power, control, status
but if adrien came up to gabriel and was like "hey im gay, i like boys" gabriel would absolutely respond like: "very well, i wont force you to date kagami, but i will make you date this other boy i specifically approve of"
so adrien still gets screwed but not because gabriel is homophobic have you SEEN that man???
