whenever louis says something that makes lestat look better, then it is automatically the objective and final truth, and if you question it then you are denying louis' agency and ignoring these scenes or crew and cast comments that have no other context and exist in a vacuum. whenever louis says something that makes lestat look bad, then you need to remember that his memory is bad and that armand has been gaslighting him and fucking with his memories for years and he is an unreliable narrator so even if he changes it later you still can't trust him if it still doesn't make lestat look good, and the scenes or cast and crew comments you're using are taken out of context and treated as if they exist in a vacuum.

if louis ever says anything bad about lestat, then you have to remember that he is emotionally unstable and depressed and resentful and because of the gaslighting and manipulation and decades of separation, and he has very bad self image and a lot of trauma that distorts his understanding of things, so it's probably not true or at least not fully true. if louis ever says anything bad about himself, then this is exactly what the writers want us to think about louis, because he is a bad person and a monster and to deny this would be to deny louis' agency, and you should respect him enough to agree that he's a frigid bitch that cruelly manipulated lestat and that withholding is just as bad as decades of cheating and racist microaggressions and violent abuse. simple! hope this helps 😊
