Lost in London with a mix & blend of Bajan & Jamaican heritage // We matter. Always. ✊🏾

I laughed so hard tonight that I cried and gave myself a headache. The stage show I needed after a chaotic day in the office. The laugh, not the headache.

Being in the office more than wfh now is turning my weekends into "I've fallen and I can't get up". Got asked about my weekend and had to question how old I am.

A mess. An aging mess. Let me go on the people dem Internet and find a holiday to book.

Random thing that makes me feel powerful walking on these streets: headphones on and a song with a heavy bassline starts playing and I'm already walking that same rhythm.

Ooooh that can be an instant mood lifter. This pavement is MY catwalk now.

2025 Reading πŸ“–

1-2. The Assassin's Blade (0.4 - 0.5) - Sarah J Maas

Including books 0.1-0.3, these are definitely helpful to read ahead of the main books in the series.

3. Love in Colour: Mythical Tales from Around the World, Retold - Bolu Babalola

My favourite of the stories were Yaa, Naleli & Thisbe.

But my favourite line was from Scheherazade... "I didn't like doing things I wasn't good at, but it turned out I loved learning how to love with him." This story hit me hard in the moment. From here until the 1001st night.

4. Throne of Glass - Sarah J Maas

5. Crown of Midnight - Sarah J Maas

There would be a crazy element of mystery around Celaena if I didn't read books 0.1-0.5 of the series. Context is key and I think it would have made book 1-2 harder than it already was to get into.
