we’re not supposed to know what this many people think. legit we're not supposed to be seeing so many thoughts and opinions - i don't think we're wired for it

like in the space of two decades - ppl went from only knowing the ppl in their neighborhood to incessantly scrolling through the thoughts of thousands of other folks all day every day. the amount of bad advice/info goes up proportionally. even the term "influencer" being a thing is weird in itself. non-stop psyops. i think that's partially why tumblr feels "ok" it's not as populated as everywhere else
