Hiroshi Fujioka watching the 1st broadcast of the original Kamen Rider in the hospital after his accident. He was left heavily injured after he crashed a motorcycle into a construction zone, which shattered his leg.
After being hospitalized, he was replaced by Takeshi Sasaki, who was written into the story as Hayato Ichimonji/Kamen Rider 2 and would take his place until Fujioka's recovery and return, joining Sasaki as the Double Riders.
From that point going forward, Fujioka did not continue to perform in-suit due to the risks it posed to production, which set a precedence for professional suit actors.
I’m watching Splash (1984) which is a romcom about a guy who falls in love with a mermaid, and when she chooses a human name she chooses Madison and guy says “that’s not a real name, but alright” which seems to imply that Madison was not a name until at least the 80’s and all girls named Madison are actually named after the mermaid. thought you should know
I think...you might be right
what the fuck

Happy 54th Anniversary, Kamen Rider!! 🎉
This series has been massively influential on me, throughout so many aspects of my life. I can never thank my best friend enough for introducing me to it!!
I had this brother of mine saying that he doesn’t like Jetman. He thought it was okay, but is largely overrated and considers that he has seen some better Sentai seasons. I casually say that it’s cool to have a different opinion and just like something that you like fits to your taste. I mean, it’s not inherently a bad thing because he likes shows like Liveman and Zyuranger better. What are thoughts by curiosity?
1991's Choujin Sentai Jetman is an really imporant series in the history of Super Sentai. It was the series that pretty much saved the franchise after flagging sales and stagnant ideas at the end of the Hirohisa Soda era. It also helped launch the career of Keita Amemiya, who would go on to create Garo!
It had some great characters, some phenomenal episodes, an overall great plot and story and some amazing villains.
However, it does not make my top 10 favorite series of all time for one really crucial flaw, the forced romance plot between Joe, Ryo and Kaori. It felt really, really unnecessary. Kaori wanted Ryo, Joe was kind of a serious pest to Kaori and could not take no for an answer and Ryo was still hung up on Rie and pretty much devoted to her until it became clear she wasn't coming back and even then, she did in the form of a villain! I felt the other two members of the team got left behind while the show increasingly focused on the forced love triangle, which is a plot element I often hate in ANY genre. It's probably just a personal thing on my part but it really soured my opinion of the series as a whole. Thank you for your question and Happy Viewing!
men should be covered in blood and a little bit pathetic thats all there is to it
vader: who tore the warning sign off of this wampa cage?? storm trooper: security footage shows it was removed by a golden protocol droid vader: LOL
Vader in RotJ: wait the Alderaan princess is my daughter?? don’t know how to feel about that.
Luke: she strangled Jabba the Hutt to death with a chain.
Vader: OH HELL YEAH

“finding yourself” in queer literature based on identifying someone with your exact Brand of gender identity and what you do and don’t find attractive (which you definitely Know and definitely have diagrammed down to an exact matrix that will under no circumstances shift and evolve wildly as you learn and grow) sounds like a masochistic nightmare.
