Percy NOT being a threesome baby in the main universe is prolly why Poseidon failed to convince Sally to move under the sea with him lol. 😭
Amphitrite in the Lestercy universe eventually convinced Sally to move to Greece with them like... Likidy split. I mean. It took a few years of convincing but it happened.
If she was involved in that affair? She would've gotten the job done. Percy likely would've been like 3 yrs old when it happened but Sally would be under the sea in a castle chilling with the crabs and eating unlimited seafood forever.
Instead she's moved on with her life and is now with Paul. 😁 Who we all know and love because he's an AMAZING step father to percy and husband to Sally and father of Estelle but make no mistake, Paul would not be a factor in the equation had Amphitrite been there.
Fun fact! When we get into the backstory of the Lestercy au in Not everything is roses (sometimes there's pricks) we learn that the original plan was for Sally and Percy to move into another residence in NYC. The plan was for Sally rebuild her relationship with Amphitrite and Poseidon and let Percy get to know her father and stepmother/other mom until she felt confident that taking her babygirl to live with the two of them in Greece was the right move.
Of course, that didn't happen because Sally ended up killing Gabe with Tracie Miller's (Sally neighbor's teenaged daughter) baseball bat and she ended up deciding it was better to get the fuck out of the country.
And Yes, had Percy been a thresome baby in the mainverse Amphitrite would have gotten both of her girls (And Poseidon's too...whatever) under the sea in under 3 years.
I usually don't like Polygamist or polyamory stories like... At all. But the idea of Percy being a threesome baby in the Lestercy AU is just too hilarious to let go.

Maybe part of the reason why pple don't like the image of Percy and Lester to gather is bcs it low key reminds them of the images of Sally and Gabe.
A 10 with a -3. Just unnatural. And although Lester is nowhere NEAR as gnarly lookn' as Gabe even at his worst, it's still a disturbingly visually familiar situation either way. It's a good this Lester is an obvious Simp for Percy and would rather jump off a cliff than ever lay a hand on her. So that problem solves itself.
Ngl, some of Percy's family will have those thoughts. Gabe is a sensitive subject they all like to pretend never happened, but Lester brings up some memories bc although that, yes, the boy is nowhere near as gnarly looking as him, there's still some issues there.
At least, they all comfort themselves with, Lester is Percy's most willing slave. Babyboy is nowhere near the stereotype of an ugly guy getting with a baddie and treating her as if SHE'S the ugly one, Lester knows he's won the lottery and refuses to do ANYTHING to fumble the bag.
I think part of the reason why Demigods have such a warped idea of what's the average level of Attractive on a normal human being is also because of their mortal parents also being attractive.
In every story I've ever heard abt gods falling in love with Mortals it's always "the god fell inlove with nd they were the fairest man/woman in the land. The most beautiful princess/prince. The most gorgeous priest/priestess." ie Adonis, Hyacynthus, Medusa (pre curse) Psyche, ect...
It's never "The god was captivated and entranced by the middest mortal ever. It was their PERSONALITY that captivated the god. even tho they were mid af."
That's not to say these gorgeous Mortals weren't good pple or didn't have kind good or generous personality (ie Psyche, Hyacynthus ect...) however that is always mentioned AFTER the fact. The stories always wax poetry abt the beauty of these Mortals and then afterwards are like "and she had a GREAT personality to boot!"
I mean. Piper's dad was an A list movie actor, Thalia's mom was a soap opera star (and if u've EVER seen anything like the Bold and the beautiful or the young and the restless u'll understand how ridiculously attractive these pple are) and Sally was a solid 8 even when she was a broke single mom married to Gabe of all people 😭
So yeah. I think part of the reason why Demigods are better looking on average is bcs of both the mortal and godly parent. Which throws of their scale and rating by a wiiiiddeee margin. What is a 7 or an 8 to us is a 5 or a low 6 to them. And vice versa.
What's a solid 5 or 6 to us is a 4 or a loooowwwww 5 for them. Which of course makes poor Lester's case even sadder because HE'S NOT THAT FUCKING UGLY MY POOR LESTER BABY!, 😭😭😭😭

But yeah, it's pretty much what you said. Demigods are the fruit of a very hot mortal getting with a greek god, they're hot and usually only interact with other demigods who are also epitome of hot. They just have really high standards when it comes to looks and maybe Percy's standards are a bit low but she's still the one with the most accurate hotness level

I read a m/m Perpollo fic where Apollo and his Roman self where two seperate people basically.
His Roman self was stricter, wore a UNIFORM to work because he considered driving the sun chariot an honour nd had a British accent for no other reason than the fact that it sounded proper.
Not to steal the other author's idea but ever since then I couldn't get the idea of Apollo's Roman Self being a seperate body and personality part of the same entity our of my head.
What makes the thing extra Hillarious is the fact that our precious boi Greek Apollo thinks he's a total DORK!

Greek Apollo is an Olympian, one of THE major gods in his side of the pantheon, there's no doubt that as far as gods go he's one of the most important ones
Roman Apollo is a minor god, doesn't even have a temple in Rome because those guys would rather focus on the military or whatever the hell they have going on. Bro doesn't even have any demigods in Rome (closest thing to that being Octavian who's a legacy)
Percy is dating Greek Apollo and while she is very much into any version of her man she knows Apollo enough to know that he would have a crash of epic proportions if she ever got with someone else, that includes another version of him.
If Greek Apollo and Roman Apollo are pretty much the same person and the only thing that changes is how much they're worshipped on their respective sides of the pantheon, how much do you want to bet that Roman Apollo would think that the reason Percy "doesn't want him" is because he's not a major god? Bro doesn't even have a temple, how can he expect that she'd let him enter 😔🙏 (god that was bad)
